It was a brilliant day and we were sooo lucky with the weather! Doggy Dash did well, very popular and I know the general stall and Toy Tombola did very well. How did the Crafty stall go? I know Cheryl and Becky were on dog show entries and Kirsty was fab on the microphone. Those were only a few who took part. Well done everyone!
I was impressed by the venue, it was very well laid out and spacious so there was lots of room for all the dogs to wander without getting into each other's faces too much.
It was a great day and I could say alot more, but let's get to the most important bit: we await the FCDH scores on the doors aka wonga for the dogs ;D ;D ;D.

Well, to start, we owe a massive debt of thanks to Kirsty, Cheryl and Becky. Our lovely lasses were 'contracted out' to the show organisers for the day, and really did us proud [/img] Sooooo proud of you girls, you were an absolutely credit to Friends, and didn't let your smiles drop for a second...... The Stall Management Company, 'The Two Lynne's & Co', took complete charge of our 'Shop' for the day, and raised a massive £238.00 [/img] [/img] [/img] All ready for the crowds at 9.30 - bring it on! ;D Alan, 'The Gen', manning the info stall... Susie's Doggy Day Care needs were met by an invisible army of Friends, the little guy had the best day, and didn't miss his mum at all. Thanks so much to everyone who took turns... Back soon...... there's lots more to come

So glad the weather behaved yesterday! Mum and I had a great morning (despite my Mum trying to buy Rach's skirt which she'd taken as a change of clothes incase it got too hot! Mum wanted to use the material to make something!! ;D ) Wish I could have stayed all day but had neighbourly duties in a tonne of sandwiches to make for Jubilee party! Anyways, here are some pics from the day.. Sarah doing very well at the sausage catching.. Another pooch enjoying the sausages.. Some really couldn't get the hang of it tho.. ;D The Doggie Dassh was very successful.. Everybody got a little distracted by this colourful jet blasting overhead.. Some of our peeps.. Couple of cuties!

Just a couple of photos from the Craft Stall and the Car Booty Stall The crafty stall made just over £140 (this included some donations) and the Booty made another £74 - I can't remember the EXACT amount as we handed it over at the end of the day and I didn't write it down. Do you remember Em, Rhian or Clare? We had a few technical hitches - one table too few, but it's amazing what you can do with some upturned boxes and a car rug (perfect stall height for littlies)- and we got to the party a little on the late side. To make up time I took a short cut through Barry. Big mistake! But heartfelt thanks to the person who put up all those Dog Show signs on the road. We sold an encouraging number of patchwork dog beds and woolly blankets this time. Lots of the Bric a Brac has been seen at several Boot Sales so we kept prices down and shifted as much as possible so we have space for some new stock for June in Sully. My most satisfying sale of the day has to be 3 bits of old rope for £1.50p We saw lots of lovely, well behaved dogs and their very friendly owners. Everyone who stopped and chatted at the stall was very interested in everything that Friends is doing at CDH, and one kind lady gave a £10 donation, just like that! Sarah and I took part in the dash and the sausage catching competition - each twice, and it was lovely this time to be able to take part. Everything seemed to run so smoothly and everyone was so cheerful and helpful. Lisa, I have to say you have two very special children. They are so polite, friendly and kind. A real credit to you, and Sarah adores them. A lovely, lovely, day. And weren't we lucky with the weather!!!! Rach

Just wanted to say a HUGE well done to everyone involved, especially the lovely Baglady who was rushed off her feet all day! You truely are an inspiring lady.....you only have to look at the little people talking about the dogs and the work of Friends to see what an inspriation you are.
I for one am so glad the family and I have become involved with Friends and made such a fab bunch of new friends as well as being able to help the lovely dogs.
;D

I would like to thank Caz ( Caroline N with Sadie ) and Caz ( Deputydawg with Abs and Bails ), Jo with son Nico for the fantastic help at the Doggie Dash. A great bit of team work swopping jobs so our dogs could be looked after.
Just over 150 dogs had a go at the dash with fastest Jake at 3.63 secs, that is the fastest I have seen so far. The slowest dog did 19.16 giving his owners a big laugh ;D but had a second go and acheived a respectable 6.69
£87.51 was raised ( Not bad at 50p a go some kind people didn't wan't change )
A long day but a very enjoyable and worthwhile day.
