Well done everybody! So pleased we made it down for an hour after an unexpected visit from some family. It was fab to see so many happy and beautiful pooches out and I'm so pleased the weather stayed sunny and dry! Gus enjoyed his fuss from all the lovely people who came to say hi and his sausages (thanks Lisa) x

Absolutely amazing total, job well done everyone!! The weather was a fantastic surprise, and the dogs and their owners were a joy to be around on the day. Me and mum (aka Mal) had a great day, even tho I realised this morning that there were muscles in my body that I didn't know I had, and boy were they aching lol Doesn't matter tho, cos that figure has made it all worth while!! Proud of everyone....... And x

'A fantastic total! What a great day - hard work, enjoyment and smiles from volunteers and smiles and enjoyment from everyone who came. I thoroughly enjoyed the day manning my 'Barks & Spensors' stall and meeting ex-FCDH dogs and listening to shaggy dog tales. I was also very pleased to deliver my Summer two-tier Hamper to the raffle prize table. Unfortunately the hamper contents were not on display so for everyone who looked at the prizes and wondered what was in the mysterious black basket here's a pic showing the top layer: The bottom layer contained even more goodies. Huge thanks to my work colleagues Jeanette Kelleher and Helen Jones who donated items for the hamper and have supported Friends of Cardiff Dogs Home since its inception. Equally huge thanks to Shirlee Jones, Elinor Lasseter and Sue Powell who have donated bags upon bags of clothes, bric-a-brac and have also bought FCDH clothing. Marvellous!

It was the first thing chosen off the raffle table Caz after the Hair of the Dog Hamper! Stunning! There are sooooooo many people who quietly support Friends and the Dogs, and have done since we started. Our quiet army are the backbone of Friends, we merely put flesh on the bones, without them, we would not be in the position we are. They don't necessarily post on the forum, or on Facebook, so we don't know their names, and they rarely get a 'thank you' If you know someone who has helped, in a small way or a big way, please remind them that they are special, that we appreciate everything they do, and most of all that it is making a hooooooge difference to the dogs Susie xoxox
