This beautiful older gent is Zak. Zak has been signed over to CDH through no fault of his own. He is an older boy, aged 10 years, and he really should be cosied up in a loving home, enjoying his retirement years He is a bit bewildered at the moment, but that's not surprising as he has found himself homeless at his ripe old age. He really enjoyed being cwtched in and was ever so gentle taking his treats bless him. He is showing some signs of old age that we all have to look forward to, so if you are after a calm, loving companion that doesn't require endless hours of walks, Zak could be your man! Zak is available for rehoming from 21st November. If you'd like to know more please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7days a week, 10.30 - 4pm

My heart breaks for this boy Being in kennels is no place for an old boy. I hope he finds a new home quickly!

Carys I am praying that this works out for you all. Zak clearly needs some TLC but will repay you a million times. Such a playful lovable little dog. I was so upset that my hubby and Zak didn't get alond but the CDH lady said if we had him we may not all be happy together. We were going to wait until we are back from a weekend away to try Zak and Peter again on a few walks to see if it could work but i can see you love him as much as i did. All the very very best of luck today. We are all waiting for the news.

We're both really sorry it didn't work out for you. Thanks for the kind words Caroline, we're going to introduce him to Carys' dog tomorrow. We're both praying they get on. He's a lovely little chap and we really do want to give him his forever home / sofa . Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to walk him today as he had a vet visit in the morning... Fingers crossed for tomorrow! We'll Definitely keep you all in touch with the latest.

Thank you all so much. It's so nice to think you all care so much. Also, a big thanks to the friends of and staff of Cardiff Dogs home. Zak is an amazing little man. He's made himself right at home straight away. He still needs to learn his place, but his new brother, Phileas, has been very very patient. As I type this he's settled down to sleep in his cozy new bed. I'll attach a photo for you all and take some proper snaps tomorrow. Thanks again all, we'll keep in touch! Attachments:
