Part 1 - Kong for a Kennel ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You may know that Friends have been asking for donations of Kongs recently ;D And that our Crafty Corner have been busy making Kennel Bags Well, CDH ambassadors - Coco, Squidge and King - were delighted to accept the first delivery of 20 Kongs from Friends on Friday Have a look ;D Now, didn't that make you smile If you would like to donate a Kong for a Kennel, please see the link to our website here Kong for a Kennel ;D Very grateful thanks to Chess (Wales) Limited, the Merrie Harriers, Abby & Bailey, and very special thanks to Eileen and her co-workers at Disney Store, Cardiff, for kick starting Part 1 of our Environmental Enrichment programme for our strays And to everyone who helped, especially Rachel, Emma & Kath, or donated material ( Shelley) for the bags Allyson & Naihm - you might see something you recognise! Thank you so much for providing scrunchy peanut butter filler for our Kong for a Kennel launch (and for your other very thoughtful donations too)! The Home will be very grateful for Kong fillers too! Value pate/meat paste and peanut butter can be 'rehomed' at CDH, and will be very much appreciated ;D

ooooh peeps ;D we're nearly there It was another good day for our 'Kongdom' today ;D Becky and Kirsty came out to walk (OK, 'jog') Malibu and Jock today , and dropped off a lovely donation at the same time A Smasher Extreme Kong for K27 Ryan Ryan needs walkies and pic updates peeps Has anyone taken him out? Please update his thread if you have And a Chunky one for K24, our lovely Bruno And Pepper (aka Sasha- Pork Chop's BF) in K28 says a great big sloppy kissy Girls for her lubby jubbly Kong Thank you sooooo much Becky & Kirsty Peeps, you only have to see our doglets for two mins with their Kongs to appreciate how much they enjoy them. But (without the dogs even knowing) they are an extremely positive enrichment tool, which help our dogs massively during their time in kennels. Becky & Kirsty

Friends had a mahoosive boost to our Kong initiative today.... Auntie Ang has been in negotiations with 'Mrs Kong UK' (Ang - is that right?) and has been exchanging thoughts and ideas about Friends' Kong initiative, and we had a lovely 'bonus' supply of mixed sizes Kongs delivered to our doorstep today We were thrilled to receive a bumper pack of Kongs, including a very special Extreme for 'King Kong', current resident of K42 (who helped us make our 'Kong for a Kennel' Video) King is going to 'switch' his Classic for a Mighty Extreme ... and hopefully, he hasn't swallowed his old one yet We will (hopefully) get some updated pics of 'King with his new Kong' soon And, you saw it here first folks, there were seven, just seven of these little cuties in our bumper box... What do you need to do to get your hands on these 'must have' Kong Keyrings? Well, two have been snaffled for our raffle at the Barons court Quiz Night on Wednesday, the rest are up for grabs, best offers please, only five remain ;D Thank you so much to Mrs Kong UK

How many Kongs do you need and what sizes since the Mrs Kong delivery. At the mo, we need one more Small (or Puppy Kong - the marled coloured ones) for the crates, and I think only 3 or 4 more for the main kennels ;D I need to check with our Crafty Corner to see which bags still need 'filling'. Will update later ;D The Home will need regular supplies of fillers though - our dogs are snaffling and snuffling through 'value pate' at a tremendous rate

Bern and Caz (DD) and Susie I'll be going down to the Home to get updates tomorrow (Monday). Titch was in 44, but who knows how busy the Home has been over the weekend Fingers crossed that the 'coming in' rate was slower than the 'going out' rate. I hope some of our dogs found their forever homes .... Soon as I know who the remaining Kennel residents are, I'll post them up here. I wonder if Titch is still there
