I took Mr Jingles for a walk today and he really is a lovely lad! He walks well on the lead, a bit of excited pulling when he first came out but settled down very quickly! He has the most handsome face, he is greying but this just gives him character ;D He walks past people and bikes with no problems whatsoever and the busy traffic on Penarth Road doesnt faze him either. He doesnt seem to be a huge fan of other dogs but he more than makes up for this with his love of people. As almost everyone has commented above, every few minutes he "checks in" with you to make sure you are still there its so sweet and he does give you a look as if to say "thanks for the walk!" He is an absolute gentleman taking his treats, he has such a gentle mouth and just LOVED the pate!! It makes me sad to think that such a lovely, older gent is still waitig for his own home. He has been waiting patiently for so long now, its got to be his turn soon Come on Mr Jingles, we are all rooting for you fella xxx

Poor Mr. Jingles, can't believe he's been in since Aug and no one wants him. I'm desperately trying to persuade my hubby to let us adopt him.

I had the pleasure of Mr Jingles company yesterday. He is such a happy fella, his tail literally does not stop wagging for the whole walk. He is as fit as a fiddle and absolutely loves being out ;D He did his usual trick of turning around and checking in on his walker every few minutes and I have to say, every time he does it I just melt. He has the most handsome, loving face and I just wish he was curled up in his own home, he totally deserves it! Look at that tail wag and that massive smile!!!

Just had my dream of adopting Mr Jingles shattered, apparently he cannot be rehomed with other dogs I'm absolutely gutted. I hope another family comes through for him soon.

Would he be OK with an occasional visiting dog? Our daughter and son-in-law have a dog and come and stay 2 or 3 times a year, and of course we visit them. How is he in the car? And does he bark much? We have neighbouring labradors who live outside much of the time and are quiet as long as nothing is happening to set them off, but a barking dog 2 doors away would not go down well!

Very, very sad news. The situation at the Home on Friday was dire with 53 dogs squashed in, an unsustainable situation when new strays could be expected at any time and Friends learnt today that the decision was made to let Mr Jingles go.
Run free Mr Jingles, sooo sorry that you didn't get your chance of a new life. Run free, knowing you touched so many hearts, take our love with you, we won't forget you.
