Please welcome the absolute joy that is Marley This handsome fella has arrived at the Home through no fault of his own and he was perfect company when we had him out for his photos! He is still only a baby really, aged around 7 - 8 months old so there may still be a bit of growing to do! Nobody seems to have told Marley he is a bit big now to be a lap dog Marley is utterly delicious, he seems full of fun, love and energy! He wasn't interested in the treats we had on offer, it was all about getting the love for this boy!! How is this for a smile!!! Marley is available for rehoming now. If you'd like more info on him, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm.

Marley is just fabulous!! I joined Arianne in the garden for his photoshoot and he is such a cracking young lad. We went for a walk first and he walks very well on the lead. We had fun in the garden with him, he had a few chases of the ball but it was pretty hot so he didn't overdo it He enjoyed a nice mooch around, he is vey gentle taking his treats and he really enjoys a fuss. Marley has a beautiful glossy coat on him and is in superb condition! He really is golden Arianne - your photos are even better than I thought they would be! Just amazing!! Thank you so much for your time and coming down to photograph our dogs, you really have caught their good sides x

Walked Marley today and what a cheerful dog. Pulled on the lead at first but soon walked lovely and even had a roll on his back in the grass.

What a wonderful dog Marley is!!!! He walks perfectly on the lead with no pulling. He is an absolute pleasure to walk and so incredibly well behaved. Marley is a young dog who is bright and lively and has bags of potential. If you are looking for a new, young, bright member for your home, then Marley is definitely the one for you! Just don't wait too long as I feel that he will be snapped up by some lucky person(s) very soon.

I took Marley out today for the first time, what a handsome boy! I had a very short lead so kept tripping over him going down the lane but that didn't seem to faze him, he was just glad to be out He walked lovely, practically to heel, most of the time and then just suddenly seems to channel his inner-kangaroo! he doesn't jump up at you but kind of bounces along in front at the end of the lead We had a pit-stop at the picnic table and he decided to walk along the bench part and then jump up on the table to have some water from a bowl - he couldn't possible drink out of it on the floor and he likes to drink the water as it's pouring! This guy has a real funny puppy-streak and in his own home with some training I'm sure he'll be fantastic - who couldn't fall for his handsome face and curly tail

I had the pleasure of taking Marley out for a walk this afternoon, he's such a dude! He's great fun, and such a happy dog. He was very excited to be out and did walk me down the lane rather than me walking him but once we were out and he'd had a sniff he soon calmed down and the walk was a pleasure. You can't blame him for being so enthusiastic at being out, we'd probably all do the same if we were cooped up for so long each day. Hopefully this guy won't be waiting too long.

I've walked Marley three times now, and he is an absolutely incredible boy. He was my first walk on my induction, and he was so gentle with me! He can be very energetic when you first take him out, but only in a playful way. He's a big fan of trying to play tug of war with his lead - so much so that he'll carry on walking backwards to try and get you to play it.
He loves treats, so it's very easy to distract him. I took him over to Pets at Home yesterday for the Meet and Greet, and as soon as he got on to Grangemoor he just wanted to run. A harness would be ideal for this guy - as soon as his paws hit the grass, he goes full sledge dog.
At the Home, he was curious around the other dogs - especially Hagrid - and was fine until some barking startled him. He's so affectionate and sweet, and is so chilled after he's toileted. I can't believe he dropped to page 2!

Oh Marley... you are so full of energy you 100% have my heart!!
Today I walked Marley on a harness and he is a different dog..!! So much calmer on the lead, walking very close and didn't pull really.
Marley just wants a big big field to run around and play ball in, so after he was so well behaved I took him in the garden for a run around to get him to expel even more of his energy.
I didn't think Marley's smile could get any bigger but give this boy room to run and he is at his happiest. I bought out the football and had an amazing time kicking it around for him.
He is 100 million miles an hour, but that is all through excitement and being so young. I can only imagine that right now he is passed out asleep in his kennel after being out for an hour and a half - but I'm sure he is ready to do it all again!!
Not to mention being able to be comfortable in the harness after just a few minutes of "getting dressed" training with Auntie Suzie... he picked it up so quickly and will do ANYTHING for a treat. He even ignored a really barky dog who was going towards him for the promise of a treat (that's my boy haha).
I'm going to make a concious effort to go down tomorrow to walk him for AGES and get him even better on the harness because he is going to make an AWESOME pet.
Someone needs to give this boy the active home he deserves
