I had the pleasure of taking Saffron (or Saffy as I ended up calling her, well she is fabulous!) out for a walk at my first dog walk yesterday. She is a dream, I've completely fallen for her and would love to take her home with me She was so calm and sweet when out, nudging my hand with her nose to remind me that she was there and then looking up at me with her big eyes as if to say "Am I doing ok?" Yes, Saffy, you did great. She was a bit interested in other dogs when we were out but didn't pull too much and didn't bark, even when she was barked at. With a little encouragement she was happy just to trot on by her other furry friends. Poor Saffron is a little underweight still and has a few sores on her but with some TLC she'd be looking like a whiskery super model in no time. Hopefully someone will come along and snap this girl up, she deserves a loving home. I wish I could take her, I really do. Anyone who has her will be very luck indeed.

Saffron will always hold a special place for me as she was the first dog I walked at the home, along with Cheryl above!
This dog is adorable, I didn't think I would be so smitten by a dog so quickly. Saffron is always looking for approval and boy did she get it from us. She walked so calmly and happily I'm looking forward to the next time I can take her out For a dog that has clearly been through so much she is very trusting, as Cheryl said with other dogs she has a nose but then pretty much just carried on with her walk.
The person who takes her home will be very lucky indeed. (if only I could)

I walked Saffron this morning; she was a delight to walk- ver gentle and loved a fuss! I knelt down next to her to tie my shoe lace and she sat on my lap! What a lovely gentle girl!

This is a girl that will put a smile on your face, she is a Total love bug. I was watching her today as we drove away in the paddling pool, trying something new.

Little Saffron, such a delicate girl. She is rather thin at the moment and needs some TLC. Not sure what was up today but she really did not want to go down the lane. I tried everything, but she only wanted to walk back to the home. I wondered if she felt ok as her eyes looked a little blood shot and I pointed this out to the staff, she also had some sores on her face. She certainly enjoyed her treats! She enjoys the security of being close to you and snuggled her face into my leg, hopefully she will feel a bit better tomorrow.

Has Saffron been adopted? What is her reaction to cats?

Saffron is still at the home but may have reached the maximum number of three reserves. If you call 02920 711243 they will let you know her application status.
Potential adopters with cats need to arrange a cat test with the home. The family cat would need to be brought to the home in a carrier and the reactions to each other would be assessed with the cat (and the dog) staying safe.

Safron was one of my wakey walks this morning, she's smaller and more delicate than she looks in the pictures but seemed keen (at first) to come walk with me. So off we went, we got half way down the lane and she stopped and promptly sat down, so with some coaxing and reassurance we headed off again, until she decided to sit down again and rest lol, she was fine as other dogs passed us by and I was kind of hoping she'd follow them but nope. so our walk was a bit of a stop start affair with a few treats thrown in for good measure and a lick and a fuss (her not me). She is great on the lead, no pulling, walks fine (when she walks) and looks to you for assurance all the time which Just melts your heart. Some pics of her Just happy to sit and rest!
So we headed back to the home and spent a while in the garden, wondered if she would rather be off lead and was hoping to see her spring to life, and she did have one initial burst of energy once round the garden then was happy to just lay and be fussed and just generally chill out.
All in all this girl isn't asking for much, she's low maintenance, very friendly and happy to be around people and from the short while I had her out around dogs too, Just hope she finds her forever home soon x

I cannot wait to see Saffron tomorrow (who now whenever I talk about her I call her "my princess")! This dog has such a lovely personality and I have not stopped thinking about her. I cannot begin to tell you how much she would be mine if the circumstances were right...
Anyone looking on here to adopt her would seriously be adopting a very special dog.
