Right then folks We are meeting and greeting at Pets at Home, Cardiff Bay on Saturday 16th August 2014. We need someone to be our base camper - is anyone able to set up and clear up? You will need a table, table cloth, collecting pots, banner (either to attach to the table or a pop up one if you are indoors), leaflets and rehoming book. I will deliver a rehoming book to CDH late on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately I am away on Saturday so can not help with this one.

Hi Lynne, Im happy to set up although havn't done it before. I have my own table still in the boot from dog show, and will be at dogs home Thursday walking so can pick anything up from there then, If someone else can bring the rehoming book on saturday as I won't be able to collect anything after Thursday and it will be nearer for me to go straight to Newport road Saturday from home if that's ok. How will the dogs get there?

That's great thank you Debbie.....there's nothing to it, just turn up and set up and wait for the other volunteers to arrive.
We will be helping to sell the support adoption for pets raffle tickets on the day.
Dogs will come across from CDH by car, not sure who is transporting yet but I am sure it will all come together on this thread shortly.
Any more volunteers please?

Susie said something about dropping everything over and picking it up didn't she? Because i was going to try and fit it in my car.

Hi Lynne, happy to set up and decamp if needed. Think I am picking Adam up at CDH first thing on Sat so can take gear across and return afterwards.
Failing that if someone else is doing it, Adam and I can bring a pooch each but given the size of my car I won't be able to do both at the same time.
Happy to go with the flow so will do what's needed when I get to CDH on Sat. :-)

Hi all, I can make my way down with a table, and hopefully meet other vols there as it will be my first meet & greet so Im a novice, what time do you usually arrive to set up? Im at CDH from 8am dog walking tomorrow(thurs), is there anything I need to pick up for Saturday like banner, collection stuff etc or will someone else be bringing it all on Saturday with the adoption book

We usually set up from 11am.
I think someone will be brining the banner, pots and rehoming book down on Saturday.

Thanks Lynne, I'll aim to get there for 10.45 to give me time to get table up and sorted ready for 11, and I think a few of the other vols said they could come early to help too, at least it will free Adam and shell up to hopefully bring some doggies along

If you need an extra pair of hands then I'm happy to jump in. I haven't done this sort of thing before so would need a bit of guidance but I can be there in the morning but would have to leave at 1 p.m. Just le me know if I can be of any help.

Ok thank you, will see you at Newport Rd at 11. It's nearer for me to go straight to PAH and I think they have other vols who can ferry the dogs, hopefully, and I don't have a crate in my car anyway unfortunately so I won't be much use in that dept.

I've got friends staying Saturday but they arent coming til early afternoon now so I can bring a dog over for an hour (happy to bring Zac for you Debs )
