Thanks to everyone who brought a great selection of donations today. We made £51.11p on the booty stall and cash for clothes recycling. We'll keep this tidy sum as our float for the next boot sale weekend. Lovely to meet you all and many thanks to Cheryl who did the cash for clothes run and Alessia who is now an expert at the booty game. A lovely lady also brought some fab home crafted cushions and we're hoping she'll be a bandana maker. Fingers crossed and so sorry that I didn't catch your name. Rach the Rag

FABULOUS last Sunday!!!
The sun shone all day, lots of car booty, the BBQ sizzled (well done Ricki!) and lots and lots of smiles and happy pooches.
Most particularly it was great to welcome 33 new registered walkers. I hope you all love it as much as I do!!!!
A year ago this week I was just like you guys and undertook to commit 2 hours a week to walking. I suppose I wasn't really sure what I was letting myself in for but .........its been a life changing experience and a real privilege to spend time with such amazing pooches (the people aren't bad either!?!?!? ;-)) and I feel really honoured to be part of the purple pilgrims!!!! Look forward to seeing you all walking pooches soon x

It is so lovely to get a warm welcome. I had my induction today and can't wait to get walking the dogs. It's nice to see that experienced dog walkers are so welcoming of new volunteer dog walkers and don't seem intimidated by new walkers who may have so much to offer not only "Friends", but each and every dog.

It was such a lovely day yesterday! I mostly loitered around with Trevor, taking up space and nattering, but it was great fun! The highlight was the Sunday roast arriving for the dogs! I have never seen anything like it! It was one of those days where I realise that yes, people are often awful, but dog people are also often wonderful (Apart from Auntie Soooozie who gave Trevor sprouts and made him fart all night!)

Was so lovely to see so many old and new faces yesterday . The car park was bouncing and I'm sure all you new faces will love spending time with the amazing pooches that come into CDH (as well as the fabulous ladies and gents in purple!) Thank you to all who said kind words about our Gus boy too, it was very much appreciated and lovely to hear other people's memories of my old smiler. Sorry for bubbling when I gave you his coats Rach, I did well until then! xx
