Please give a gentle welcome to Storm He has just arrived at the Home, brought in due to a change in his owners circumstances. The poor boy is understandably a bit bewildered at his change of circumstances, but he tried his best to give us a gentle wag of his tail. He wasn't in the least bit interested in toys, treats, or anything really, but he made friends with Charli and seemed to get some comfort from gentle caring hands. Storm is about 2-3 years old, and as he only arrived today, he hasn't been seen by the vets yet. He seemed to be a little sore on his legs, and although he is very obviously not underweight, he doesn't seem to have a great deal of muscle, so is probably a bit of a stranger to regular exercise. We took Storm down to the river for a toilet break, and he walked as gently and meekly as a lamb on his lead. He's obviously finding it very difficult to understand what's happening to him. As he isn't vaccinated, we won't be able to bring him out for walks until next Friday, but we'll be spending lots of 'getting to know you' time with Storm, and hopefully we can help bring a sparkle back to his eyes. Storm will be available for rehoming once he has seen the vets on Monday 3rd November. If you'd like more info on him, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm.

Oh my gorgeous bear, you are one amazing dog. I can't wait to see you realise you are safe, then you can relax and show us who you really are.

Hi again, Could you tell me if having a reasonably good sized garden, but no grass, would be detrimental to a dog's toileting needs? We have lots of good walks nearby but I'm wondering about the hourly toilet needs.

We are absolutely thrilled to say that this lovely boy, renamed Sam, has found his forever home already He met a lovely family just after he arrived at the Home, and it was love at first sight It was such a pleasure to see going home with his new family yesterday, starting his new life, with a new name, a new beginning, and putting his past behind him. Good luck Sam, have a brilliant life, make up for lost time eh? You're in safe hands now
