Hi lovely dog walkers, I see poor Lola has been there some time From your experience with her would she be suitable for a full time worker with a doggie companion and the day being broken up by a dog walker and 2 walks a day?

ooooh she could be She can be boisterous in play, but she gets on brilliantly with my little dog (male), and would be best suited to a playmate with similar energy levels.... Definitely worth coming down to meet her!

Yesterday I finally got to spend more time with Lola. I'd spent a fair bit of time with her on her first stay at CDH, especially as she was a regular on group walks we undertook. I was just never strong enough to walk her - this girl got the muscles! Since she came back I've spent ages getting to know her again through the doors of the pen. Checking she remembered me from before and yesterday was the day I was certain enough she would be ok with me joining her and some of her favourite people in the garden. I was right and it was such a treat to see the "real" Lola, snuggling up to her friends, being free to chase toys and watching her work for the ball to be thrown. She's such a clever dog and has come so far, if she doesn't mind me commenting on this - I think she's looking the best she's ever looked too. I'm so looking forward to my next Lola garden time. x

This week I have had 3 walks with Lola and it is safe to say over the past few months I have fallen in love with her a little bit more every time I see her.
Today, Susie spent some time with Lola and I, and yet again clever Lola blew me away. She is such an intelligent dog and really deserves her forever home!

The staff and Friends at the Home have worked wonders with Lola's progression to become a model of doggy decorum. Using reward-based training, they've helped Lola's wonderful personality and intelligence to shine through. For the best part of our walk recently, Lola strolled by my side - which is in contrast to a previous 'walk' with her, a considerably more energetic experience altogether! Lola isn't a lover of heavy goods vehicles, so when a particularly large lorry trundled and clattered past, she pulled on the lead a bit - the old Lola, however, would've reacted by lunging sideways, and to anything that was bigger than a car! Lola has amassed a legion of loyal, loving devotees during her time at the Home. And it's little wonder why the staff and volunteers alike adore her so much: Lola simply radiates beauty, warmth and charisma. And if you took the time to meet her, you too could be captivated by her infectious charm. So I'm certainly not alone in being utterly flummoxed as to why all the fab pics and glowing write-ups about lovely Lola hasn't prompted potential rehomers to queue up for an application form with her name on it! In time though, Lola will find her special human companions, who'll provide a stable, loving home for keeps - and, boy, her peeps are going to be so incredibly lucky!

I took the lovely Lola home this weekend for a wee bit of respite to give her a break from the kennel environment. She couldn't wait and jumped in my car without hesitation.... Come on Shell....hurry up... She had her head hanging out of the window all the way home with a big stupid grin on her face!?!?!? :-) She had a good sniff and mooch around when we got home. This one kinda got to me ....perhaps she was thinking.....why can I see out so clearly, where are the bars??? Now I know Lola can be loving but I just hadn't realised quite how much.....this girl is a major cwtch monster. She justs loves to get close up and personal bless her. She had a bit of an upset tummy whilst she was with me and kept gently grabbing my hand in her mouth to take it to her tummy so I could rub it! Okay it may have just bought a lump to my throat!! She has a really cheeky side to her which I hadn't fully seen before and it was a joy to behold. This girl knows how to behave in a house......all my cushions survived, she picked up a couple and looked at me as if to say ....go on Shell let me ....but after being told no she let them go and picked up her toys. Seeing her so chilled out and rested was an absolute joy Lola, you are welcome in my house any time..... hopefully we can organise another girly night in soon? Some more pics....just cos I can.... The last practicing her sit and wait.....which is why she probably looks a bit grumpy :-) Lola is a fab fab girl. There must be a forever sofa out there somewhere?

How lush seeing Lola enjoying a nap on the sofa, why this adorable girl hasn't been snatched up is a mystery. Hopefully these pictures of her in the home environment will show that she is the ideal pet who will keep you entertained, fit as a fiddle from walking and full of love from her cwtches. She's a big softie at heart and eyes to melt even the hardest of soles. Good luck Lola in your quest for a forever sofa 💞💞

Hi you can go meet her at any time when the home is open (10.30-4.00pm 7 days a week) without an appointment but it might be a good idea to call first just to ensure she's not out on a walk when you plan to visit. Give them a call on 02920711243. If you post up here when you're going if any if the volunteers who know her well are available they would be able to help too x

Hi I'm afraid I don't know Lola well enough to be able to answer as I haven't spent much time with her. When you get there the staff will talk through everything. Hope it goes well

Do you think Lola would be ok left all day 5 days a week if she had the house and the garden?
Thanks
