Everyone, please say hello to the handsome Clifford
As soon as we got Clifford out of his Kennel today, the first thing he needed to do was go to the loo, a lot! Well done Clifford, this bodes very well on the 'house trained' front as clearly he'd been holding it in all day! Anyway, after relieving himself, it was time to get to know him and what a gorgeous, happy and very clever boy ( hopefully a little video to be uploaded later) Clifford is!
Clifford certainly knows his 'sit'
'paw?' easy peasy
'down' come on, give me a real test
'OK then Clifford, can you roll over?' Maybe.............

No-one needs to teach this old dog any new tricks!!
There was definitely no maybe in the fact he was very gentle when taking treats
Clifford also LOVED the ball, especially when he found out it was squeaky!
But one of the most amusing things with Clifford, when you have something he wants, be it a treat or a toy, he certainly lets you know he wants it, it really made me smile when he barked at me to tell me to give him whatever it was I had that he wanted!
Clifford is a very handsome, very gentle and very playful boy and I'm sure whoever he ends up with is going to absolutely adore him and have lots of fun!
Clifford will be available for re-homing on the 11th October. If you would like more information on him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm

Wow what a looker! There's something about Clifford's face which is so charming and dignified. Somebody's going to be a very lucky new owner.

Prynhawn da, Clifford yma, es i am dro gynne fach gyda dyn o'r enw Geoff, a Clifford oedd enw ei Dad, felly siaradon ni am lawer o bethau, gan gynnwys y rygbi a phel- droed - ymlaen Cymru! Roedd y tywydd yn fendigedig, a chwrddon ni a Susie aTim, gyda Betty, a Rosie, cyn mynd iweld yr elyrch a hwyiaid yn yr afon. Mae Geoff yn hoffi rhedeg, felly ffwrdd a ni am gan medr, dw i eisiau gorwedd lawr nawr... Hwyl am y tro, hoffwn ffeindio fy nheulu newydd... Good Afternoon, Clifford here, took a chap for a walk earlier, name of Geoff, and he told me that Clifford was his Dad's name, we had a chat about the rugby and footie - C'mon Cymru! and enjoyed a nice walk along the river bank. He said that he is a runner, so I stretched my legs and off we went, he's getting on a bit, just like me, but there's life in the old dog yet, and I'm not too bad either.. I'd like to find my new family soon, best wishes to my fellow temporary residents, and the wonderful staff and friends.

What I know about Clifford..... 1. He loves the car 2.He loves a walk 3.He is lovely to our Elsie 4. He loves his ball (he really, really loves his ball) 5.He loves his stick too. 6.He loves the pub. 7.He loves a snooze In fact he loves everything and everyone. Clifford asks to go out when he needs the loo, he's very polite around our Elsie, and is just a really lovely well rounded dog. He's very sprightly and is absolutely no bother in the house. Plus he has impeccable pub manners...what else do you want? Pop in and say hi to Clifford he will brighten up your day Now that I can guarantee. Clifford you are a lovely boy and the pleasure has been ours. You're welcome anytime x

What a great looking and well behaved dog. I can't say how much a Staffie brightens up any home. There's nothing better than a Staffie snog and cuddle and they always raise a smile when they try and 'talk' to you as they're so happy. Clifford looks like such good boy and somebody should snap him up soon as he should be on his forever sofa. Good Luck Clifford!!

Awww Clifford! Whoever is lucky enough to take you home is going to have to make space for that tennis ball too! There are so many staffies in kennels but Clifford really does stand out. What a lovely, handsome dog he is. Good luck to you Clifford!

I went to see Clifford on Sunday but the chap said he'd had a couple of fainting spells & they were going to get the vet to look him over. Does anyone know what the outcome was? Poor chap, looks so lovely in his kennel.

Poor old Clifford has been a little poorly, and after his fainting spells, our lovely Pilgrim Pete agreed to give him some home respite, so he could be closely monitored.
Clifford came back to CDH this morning, no more fainting spells, but Pete advised our vet of some slightly worrying episodes, and as a result we have booked him in for chest xrays, full bloods, and an ECG. Clifford was taken to Summerhills this evening, and will have having his procedures tomorrow, so please keep him in your prayers. x

Hope poor Clifford is okay? Old boy like that should be on a sofa, not in a kennel Well done to you for taking prompt action to help him.
