Please say a big hello to Bailey.
Bailey was a little nervous today coming from his kennel, but we can understand this. He must be wondering why his owners have taken him to the home and left without him, poor boy.
]
Because Bailey was signed over we do know a little about him. He has previously lived with another dog, he is very good around young children and he is house trained. We also found out today that Bailey LOVES a tennis ball!
Bailey also knows his "sit" and rather than give a paw, he does a great "high five"
We also found out that Bailey will go "down"
and will also roll over too
All of the above though are entirely when Bailey wants to rather than on command
It really didn't take Bailey long to trust us and come out of his shell. If you want to make friends with him though, just take a tennis ball with you
Bailey will be available for rehoming on 22nd November when his vaccinations have kicked in, but the staff at the home will take applications now. If you would like more information on him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm

I had the pleasure of having this boy for company on Sunday for a short stroll, sadly Bailey was feeling a little under the weather so we weren't out too long , but in the time we were out this lad showed impeccable manners to both two legged and four legged friends, he walked perfectly on his lead checking every now and then that I was still with him and was ok in the rain. The heavens opening did not faze this lad at all either, I'm sure he was skipping through the puddles at one point!
Bailey is a lovable little one, he has a cracking little face, gives fab smiles and just has a great personality!
Good luck buddy!!

Bailey was my first walk this morning. He's a lovely boy, but he is a bit thin , nothing that some good grub and a comfy sofa won't sort out I hope, he was certainly not backward at taking his treats, but he was very gentle. A quiet personality for a young dog but lovely.

Hi first post, but have been walking with my wife ( the registered walker!) a while now
Just a little saddened to see Bailey still here, we have walked him a number of times now and he really is a joy. He really just wants to WALK ! Very little sniffing and stopping, he is single minded and resolute. But stop and fuss him and he is open, friendly and gentle. He really needs to be in a home, as i'm sure he would blossom even more. He is a little thin, as others have mentioned, perhaps a sign that living in the kennels isn't easy for him, but he has a wonderful nature and deserves to be in a family setting Good luck mate

Awww Lovely Bailey, my 3rd walk today. I can't believe this is my first walk with this lovely boy, he is a dream on the lead, and gives some FAB! staffy snogs We took a walk up Llandough Hill, up towards the church, and Bailey was all about sniffing and wanting to explore! He is a bit thin at the moment, but he has not been well I have been told, and that, combined with the stress of being homeless, is prob taking it's toll on poor Bailey. We took a stop on a bench up by Llandough church, and he is very open to cuddles, and, as already mentioned, gives amazing staffy snogs! Really hope you get a home soon Bailey, you really deserve it lovely boy xx

Bailey spent some time with myself and my daughter on a walk. He is so adorable and loves to explore. He loves showing his tricks for some treats on the floor. We had a lie down, a sit and a high five (my daughters saying). He is fabulous on walks and is bursting to be in is forever home, it's hard to believe this lad is still waiting for his foreve home. Please take me home!

Bailey made me chuckle today. He was on a walking mission until he smelt something nice in the grass and started rubbing his face in it and rolling around all over the place! ) I was later told it might have been fox poo. .what a treat! All in all a lovely dog who was happy out on the lead. He was interested in other dogs as they passed but in an inquisitive way rather than barking at their face. He enjoyed a 5 min break for a sit down, cuddle and treat. Good luck Bailey...I really hope you find a lovely home xx
