Here is a smile that could brighten the gloomiest of days! Bonnie was a bundle of energy when she came out for her photo shoot today. She hasn't been aged by the vets yet, but looking at her pearly whites we don't think she is very old. Despite not knowing us at all she greeted us like old friends. "Hi guys" She quickly found the toys and had great fun playing with them and bringing them back to us to throw for her. Come on Bec play with me! After a good play session we decided it was time to see if bonnie had the brains tho back up the beauty and I'm please to say she does. Sit's like a pro Paws no trouble for her Would you like the other one too, aunty Bec? Bonnie is an utterly delightful girl, we think she will going to soon become a favorite with our walkers! Who could say no to that gorgeous face! Bonnie will be available for rehoming from 15th January if no-one comes forward to claim her, but the staff at the home will take applications now. If you would like more information on her please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click on the link below: Rehoming Process

So my lunchtime walk today was the lovely Bonnie. It was her first walk apparently and she'd been waiting for her vaccinations to kick in. She therefore came out of the kennels like a train and kept that pace up for half of the walk . Despite this, she was a lovely walk, very attentive and responsive - especially when she realised I was the keeper of the treats! She looks fairly young, lovely pearly whites. She was interested in other dogs but not aggressively so - I don't know whether she's been tested yet? She was, however, VERY interested in people and I had to stop her from jumping up at every passing stranger - to Bonnie everyone was just a best friend she hadn't been introduced to yet!! LOL. I'm sure that she'll make someone a lovely companion. Do I want to share her or put in an application? Hmmm.... share today I think, then we'll see... (I know I shouldn't but I'm still hoping Taffy might still come back )

I noticed Bonnie when I first popped in a few days ago. Although she was sat in the kennel she was absolutely lush, she was so friendly and very happy with her tail wagging and licking my friend through the gate. She's going to make a great companion for someone without a doubt

Wow! What a gorgeous girl Bonnie is! She currently lives life at a hundred miles per hour! And loves exploring. She is quite strong on the lead, but that's because she has a lot of energy she can't use up in the kennels. But despite that she listens very well, and is ever so affectionate. She waited well at the road side and waited for me to say it was safe to cross. She walks well past other dogs but does get very excited and wants to say hello. Over all this lovely girl has a huge heart with a lot of love to give. This smile will get me a new home, yea? I am fabulous the ground is wet, i'm not sitting down! Come on lets play!

Aw Bonnie, really don't know why you are still waiting for your forever home, you do everything right in the kennels and out on walks, let's hope somebody will see what us dog walkers do.

I don't understand how this lovely lady is still waiting either. A friendly, happy girl who thoroughly enjoyed her walk this morning. And she really is beautiful and very smiley.

I had the pleasure of walking this lovely lady yesterday. Bonnie is a bundle of fun with loads of energy! Bonnie does pull on the lead and is a really strong girl but she was more than happy to stop for a rest and some fuss during our walk! Top Dog!

My son and I had a wonderful time in the garden today in the sunshine with Beautiful Bonnie. She was absolutely amazing to spend time with, Bonnie enjoyed her off lead time running around. We then got some toys out for Bonnie to play with and she loved playing. Bonnie was so well behaved and even waited for the toys to be thrown. Bonnie is all about playing and running around enjoying the sunshine. We really enjoyed her company. Can't believe this beauty is still waiting for her forever home. vimeo.com/158836314

Walked this gorgeous girl on Saturday before we headed to London for the weekend. I don't have any decent photos unfortunately, but you can see above how beautiful and bouncy this lady is in all the photos above. She was friendly towards everyone and everything we came across, and had bundles of energy but slowed down and stopped when I asked her to. An absolute angel who would be perfect for any family - especially one with a good garden or who like walkies! Can't understand why she's still at the home, but fingers crossed she'll be off to a comfy sofa soon!

Took the lovely Bonnie out for a nice long walk last week Not sure how I have never taken this lovely girl out before, she is soooo happy and bouncy, another dog who's happiness rubs off on you! Bonnie is good on the lead, very little pulling, calms down as soon as you are out of the lane, seems to pass other dogs fine, and really loves a scratch and affection! Bonnie loves being out and exploring, she has lots of energy and is full of life, and has a lovely smile Not sure why you are still looking lovely Bonnie, an active family would be perfect for you, with lots of love and walkies, could that be you?

I have spent time with beautiful Bonnie and can't believe no one has taken this girl home. She is a star and loves playing and affection. In the garden Bonnie is good with recall and polite around her toys. My son enjoyed some time in the garden with Bonnie and they enjoyed every minute. She passes dogs and humans with no issues and would love a sofa or home to call her own.

I cannot believe I had not met this girlie until Saturday...she's amazing! Seriously, if you've not yet had pleasure of meeting Bonnie get your skates on & take her out...You don't know what your missing!
I meet Bonnie on Saturday afternoon, after a recommendation from two fab walkers who said she'd love the chance to go to pen y fan on Sunday. So I took Bonnie for a little stroll on Saturday & just fell in love with her straight away. I don't recall seeing a happier face ever! Bonnie's happiness is contagious! Within 10mins I knew i wanted to spend my Sunday with her.
Sunday was adventure day! We went for a quick stroll up the lane & then it was car time! Bonnie had no issues getting in the car, after a little explore it was straight into the crate & on the road. After a bit of rearranging of the towels in the bottom of the crate she found her favourite position & she snuggled down. There was not a peep from her all the way to pen y fan.
Once at pen y fan Bonnie continued to show how good she is, she was eager to seek out two legged friends for fusses & boy she can give a good cuddle!
Bonnie also showed very good manners around other dogs, due to the nature of the environment there were a fair few off lead dogs but Bonnie listened very well & stayed by my side whilst they passed - well done Bonnie!
Now, I won't lie, I found the walk a little tough going but having Bonnie with me made it do much easier & she was great company. Bonnie was patient & was happy for many stops on the way up. We made it further then I had in the past so I was very happy, we were just shy of the top...but it was terribly windy so we gave it a miss.
On the way down Bonnie again showed good listening skills as it was a little slippy in places but she listened to my guidance to slow down a little.
My low light, but bonnie's highlight, came as we were nearing the bottom again when I spectacularly slipped over in a boggy patch of grass...cue screaming & embarrassment from me BUT Bonnie stayed by my side at all times whist my partner & passers by helped me. Bonnie was so concerned when I fell bless her, my partner temporarily took her whilst I untangled myself but when I had free hands again she came straight back in for kisses & to look after me again!
Sprained ankle aside I had a wonderful day yesterdsy & it was a privilege to spend the day with Bonnie.
Bonnie is a fabulous girl, who will love you forever if you give her a forever home!
