Meet Cinders Cinders has arrived at the home in poor condition, she appears to have had a hard life living outside and has a few sores over her body. She seems to be a stranger to human contact and didn't know what to toys when presented with the. She took some confort from cuddling up to aunty Becky, but didn't really want to do much else. We did start to see a little spark of life in this girlie when we got some yummy pate out.... Ooo is that for me? She took her treats very gently And even did us a little dance to get some more yummy pate Cinders will be available for rehoming from 15th January if no-one comes forward to claim her, but the staff at the home will take applications now. If you would like more information on her please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click on the link below: Rehoming Process

What an absolute sweetheart she is. Some lucky person is going to put a doggy smile on that sad little face soon, for sure. Cinders is far too appealing to hang around for long

This little girl has stolen my heart her little face, she just looks so sad.
We are possibly looking for a companion for our beddy whippet girly. Peggy is a real couch potatoe and love to sleep when she is home but loves a good run when out.
Do you know If this lovely girly could be left, when we are at work no more than 5 hours with a walk in a between no more than 2 times a week.
We are looking for a couch potatoe companion for Peggy when we are not there but a lovely doggy who will love to run with her on her 3 + off lead walks a day.
Cheers helen

Wow stealing my heart even more.
She seems like she would be perfect for out companion for our peggy sue.
How would we find out if she is at all happy to be left for a few hours at a time? Would that just be trial and error?

Its really difficult to know for sure as Cinders came to the Home as a stray. I know she copes okay in kennels though, she isnt destructive in her bed area and isnt stressed at all about being there. Thats not a given that she would be okay being left for a few hours at home but I personally think its a good indicator. There are many ways to keep a dog occupied, I always give mine a stuffed Kong to keep them busy for a while, leave the radio on and then they just snooze until I get home

Im not sure how many app's Cinders has had, the staff at the Home deal with that side of things (we are all vol's on here) Pop down and meet some of the dogs if you are in the area. There are always so many lovely dogs in (Cinders is one of my current faves!) you could take a few for a walk, get to know them and see who you think Peggy would like (she will be the decision maker lol) You dont need an appointment to call in and the Home is open every day from 10.30 til 4 x

Cinders says 'Thank you so much for looking after me, for healing me, for loving me, and for helping me find my very own forever people' We are thrilled to say Cinders is now living like a princess, with people who truly love her. Ahhhhh, doncha love a fairytale ending?
