After a very sad week for my sister and her family, Barney their much loved boy of 12 years fell asleep for the very last time. Barney was adopted from CDH in 2005, when he was 11 months old and has since had a long and happy life until recently when it was found he had a tumour on his spleen and liver and he rapidly went downhill. Despite pain relief and steroids he was suffering to much, so sadly the difficult and heartbreaking decision was made to let him go by his loved ones. He was able to come home from the vets the night before to spend precious time with his family and ate his favourite food on Wednesday morning, despite not having eaten for days.... it was as if he knew. RIP Barney hope you're having lots of fun at Rainbow bridge gorgeous boy! We will miss you!

So sad for Barney's family, but what a wonderful life he had. Rest easy Barney, run free at the Bridge little one.
