Say a big hello to the scrumptious Tai! Tai has found himself at CDH due to a change in his owner's circumstances. He must be missing his family but he's not letting it get him down, this boy was all about the cuddles and playtime when we had him out in the vet room. Tai is a bit of a joker, and he is just bursting with character. He will actually "talk" to you when he wants fussing, and we had loads of fun trying to have a full blown conversation with him. As Tai has come to us as a sign over we do know a little bit about him. We know that he has lived with children before so we know he's quite confident around little ones. He could benefit from some training, as although he will sit when asked he could do with some assistance with other commands- he is very energetic and just needs a little help controlling his excitement. This boy absolutely LOVES people and he's one of the most social dogs I've ever seen. Good luck Tai, I hope you're not waiting too long! If you have any questions on Tai or would like more information on him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm

I walked the very happy Tai this morning. He has plenty to say, as he "talks" at you when he wants cuddles. Happily, I don't mind dishing out cuddles. We chatted and Tai got ear rubs. It was Tai's first walk of the day, so he came out of the kennels with plenty of energy. (That's why I don't have a single pic of him). We passed other dogs and people without incident - even a cheeky off-lead dog. Tai is happy to see everyone. Tai is happy, attentive, cwtchy and fun to walk. Hope you find your forever family soon, Tai.

Tai what an absolute gent you are. He may have been last one out on Monday but he was fab for someone who can be a little shall we say excitable he was as cool as a cucumber. I like to think it was my pep talk I gave him before we set off that did it but no he was just superb. He's a handsome fella is Tai and was lovely we stopped by the benches and he had a cuddle....sorry man hug. No playing up and walked beautifully and boy this one loves a roll.....picture below Rolling, rolling, rolling Tai I'm a paid up member of your fan club for sure. You can come to the pub with me anytime. "Does my bum look big in this"

Had the pleasure of walking this handsome boy twice this week and he was a perfect gentleman on both occasions. After an initial 'pull' down the lane he settles into a lovely stride and is not phased by anything or anyone passing.
Tai is a stunning dog - with a 'proud' Boxer stance and he gained some very positive comments from people we met on our walks. On Thursday we were stopped by a young man who wanted information about becoming a volunteer walker. Tai sat patiently as we talked, but after a while he started to cry just like a baby (quietly at first, but then very loud indeed!) it was so funny - Tai was still sitting obediently but had obviously had enough of giving up his very precious 'walkies' time and wanted to get on with it!!
Tai absolutely loves a good cuddle, takes treats very gently, is fascinated by flags fluttering in the breeze and adores rubbing his back against everything - hedges, walls, rocks - anything will do!
I love this boy x

Janet, I walked Tai on Saturday and I could just copy and paste your write up He is a wonderful boy to walk, he adores a fuss, isnt fazed by anything, walks passed other dogs with no fuss or bother and is just so handsome!! Tai does a cracking sit for a treat, and is incredibly gentle taking them too. He showed great manners around the treats He had a lovely back scratch on the huge rocks on Penarth Road, was looking very interested in the flags by the boat shop and cried like a baby when we were waiting to go back into kennels! I cant understand why Tai is still waiting, he really is a cracking fella who was a pleasure to spend time with. He's an easy dog to walk and very loving. Come on folks - this boy needs a home!

I only lost Bonnie, my sole companion of 11 years, a few weeks ago so she is still very much "with me". I love the look of Tai. If I didn't have a short holiday booked for Easter and one other 'event' booked for mid-May I would be down at CDH like a shot. However, it wouldn't be fair to Tai to adopt him from rescue kennels (assuming I was fortunate enough to be allowed to adopt him) only to have to put him in boarding kennels within the first few weeks. I doubt he will still be available come mid-May, but if he is ......

Why is this lovable boy still waiting for his forever home? Tai enjoyed a lovely walk on Sunday. He is such a lovable bouncy boy and has no problems around other dogs. He loves affection, and is an around amazing dog.

Tai was our first walk as volunteer walkers last week. It was a bit of a baptism of fire as he wanted to go down the lane at 100mph with us running along behind trying to keep up. But he soon settled down and he enjoyed his walk to Penarth Marina. He was very interested in the Oystercatcher pub, so much so that he went up to one of the windows and peered in and seemed to be talking to a little girl who was sitting inside. So funny. He was very well-behaved and was great at all the traffic lights, waiting patiently. Lovely dog.

Had a lovely very long walk with Tai on Friday What a lovely boy! He was very good, no jumping and hardly any pulling We had a walk up Llandough hill, and had a little sit down on the bench by the church, and Tai decided to sit on me and give kisses ( see picture ) I didn't mind one bit, he kept me warm! Tai is such fab company, he loved exploring in the woodland and having a good old sniff, he also enjoyed being greeted by some children via the gate at Llandough primary Didn't seem to mind other dogs, was fine with traffic and other people, Tai your a star, you would make an amazing pet He also likes a good roll and likes to scratch his back on anything he can find ( walls, hedges, benches! lol ) Lovely Tai #rollwithittai
