Please say 'hi' to Bella This gorgeous little girlie has been signed over to the Home. Her owners say she is just one year old, and is a staffie/collie cross. Hmmmmm, staffie collie eh? Stollie? Well, if the alternative is collie/staffie - 'Coffee' - I'll take Stollie please!Right then Miss Bella! Down to the river bank, let's show you your new bandana! Ooooh, suits you Bella! You look beautiful! Vet room now Bella! Let's see what tickles your tummy! Can you sit? Well, maybe I can, maybe I can't..... what's in it for me Aunty Sooz?Only the best for our dogs Bella! It's Brussels Pate! OK - you got me! I'm all yours!Bella takes her treats very gently.... ...if a little messily! We discovered very quickly that Bella likes balls! And the bigger the better... Yellow ball in mouth, red ball there for the taking - now whatcha gonna do Bella? No contest! My big red ball!!!! Bella and I had a great footie session in the vet room, she could get a ball past a premier league player, and she was far too quick for the shutter speed on our camera! At half time she retired to the bench for a bit of quiet time with her beloved red ball... Blimmin' eck, that didn't last long! They don't make 'em like they used to eh Bella? Bella shows us both sides of her breed character, the ball loving collie... And the loving, licky kissy snogs of a staffie. What more could you want from a dog? Bella didn't arrive at the home as a stray. She was signed over by her owners, and is available for rehoming immediately. If you would like more information on her please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. With all signovers, the staff will have information on file about a dog's history, whether s/he has lived with children, other dogs or pets, how s/he behaves in a home environment, etc, and the reasons s/he was signed over. The information provided by her previous owner will be passed on to potential rehomers. For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click on the link below: Rehoming Process

Sweet girl has made so much progress this week! , near the beginning she wasn't coming to the kennel gate for any amount of verbal encouragement. On friday it took a few minutes of sweet talking and she came out to say hello. From what I've seen in the kennels she looks like a well mannered sweetheart , can't wait to take you on a walk darling

I'd never met a Stollie (Staffie x Collie) before and I was lucky enough to take Bella for her second walk of the day. I wonder if all Stollies are this cheerful? She's full of beans and is just a happy dog. I was told that Bella is still a little shy, but I think she decided we were friends, because I was allowed to cwtch her pretty darn quickly.
Bella walked past other dogs and people with interest, but no barking. She was keen to check out every scent.
Bella happily received gentle cuddles and pats. She's a nice-natured, cheerful dog who is good company.
Thanks for the walk, beautiful Bella!

Bella shared some time in the garden with Alfie. They absolutely loved each othe and couldn't get enough of each other. I'm sure as soon as Bella and Alfie's stiches are out they are going to love running free together. Who says dogs with little or no history can't make friends and socialise with each other. Many of them loved their time together, and making friends. Can't wait for next time beatiful Bella and adorable Alfie can have some proper time together.

We were lucky enough to have Bella on our first walk as volunteers, and she's such a lovely and energetic lady! The traffic was quite heavy on the Saturday but the cars didn't seem to phase her at all. We avoided Grangemoor due to her stitches and kept on the paths, and we just flew around with her in the lead! She's got a lot of energy but I imagine once she's in a home with regular walks she'll calm down on the lead. She did start to go at a more relaxed pace towards the end of the walk, once she'd burned off some pent up bounciness! She was very interested in other people and dogs that we passed, though it was purely interest. She didn't bark or show any aggression whatever, she's just a very inquisitive girl and after a little persuasion she was always happy for us to move her along elsewhere. She didn't seem overly keen on having a cuddle or fuss, though I think that's more a combination of having recently been spayed and us being new to her. She just had better things to do than stop for a cwtch! Our second time out as walkers was this morning and fate seemed to want us to have Bella again, as all the other small dogs were either out or had already had their morning walks, and we weren't confident enough for a stronger dog. Not that I'm complaining! She's a gorgeous bundle of energy and she put us through our paces for a good 45 minutes. At one point I considered trying to have a gentle jog with her but thought better of it, as I'm pretty sure I'd have ended up in a tangle on the floor while she bounced off! Maybe if the ground had been drier and I was in better shape! She was a lovely girl again as before. Very interested in people and dogs, though again no aggression at all. A few motorcycles caught her eye as well! It was really lovely to see her so happy and smiley (she is such a smiley dog!), with lots of new sights and smells to entertain her. I can only hope this gorgeous girl finds a forever home soon with a nice garden so she can bounce around to her heart's content!

Hi Federico Bella has been great around other dogs whilst she has been at the Homes and has shown no concerns in this area. Obviously, that's not to say she will definitely get on with your boy, so the staff would ask you to bring your Lab to the Home to see how they get along. Bella was signed over by her owners, so the staff would know if she has lived with children. Give them a bell on 02920 711243 and they can let you know all the info they have. She is a cracking girl!

It's Monday morning and welcome to Blind Date Our contestant today is the very beautiful Bella! Bella, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?? "My name is Bella, I am a one year old, fit and healthy crossbreed girl, looking for love" Okay then Bella, lets meet some dates!!! Date number 1, tell us your name and where you come from please "My name is Phoenix and I have all the way from K11. I'm a lovely boy, I can be a bit shy at first but I have perfect manners and as you can see, I am a bit of a looker " Thank you Phoenix. Contestant number 2, could you please tell us your name and where you have come from "Hiya everyone!!! My name is Alfie, Im from K32! Im a happy go lucky kind of guy, I get on with everyone and Im the life and soul of any party" Thank you boys!! Okay, Bella if you could reveal who will be the lucky one to win your love today........ Ah, its Becky!!!! I spent the afternoon with Bella yesterday and I am just a smidge in love with her We went for a lovely long walk alongside Bonnie (K20) and Cheryl and the girls were great. The staff did intro's and they were perfectly polite with each other so we set off together. Bella walks beautifully on the lead and is a confident girl. She was very keen to play with Bonnie so once we got back to the Home we had our Blind Date session in the garden. Bella loved every dog that she met, she was very playful and extremely polite with all of them. As well as Phoenix and Alfie, Bella also met Bas (but we didn't get any pics) and was just golden! She is very affectionate towards people too. I really cannot sing her praises enough. This girl is perfect!!!

Aw becky, what a wonderful update. I managed to see Bella and Alfie together and they couldn't wait to play but unfortunately Bella couldn't be off lead because of her operation. Lovely to see phoenix, Alfie and Bella having a ball. I saw bonnie and Bella walking together and they loved it. So glad we can all get the dogs together, and socialise. Just goes to show how much they need it when you see the fun they have when they get together.
