Please welcome newbie Taz Staffie! Taz is a two year old staffie boy who has been signed over to the Home by his owners. As Taz wasn't vaccinated when he was signed over, he will have to remain on 'soft quarantine' in his kennel until his rehoming date, which is 23rd March. As he has been surrendered by his previous owner, the staff at the Home will have detailed information on Taz, and they will take applications for him immediately. If you have any questions or would like more information on Taz please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click on the link below: Rehoming Process

I had a lovely walk with Taz on the weekend It was his first walk of the day and he toileted almost immediately. Taz walks fabulously on the lead, no pulling at all and nothing bothered him. He walked passed other dogs with no problems whatsoever and was happy to have a little fuss, but didn't demand it! He wasn't interested in my treats but they were healthy dry treats, so I will make sure I bring something tastier next time boy Taz really not getting to grips with "smile for the camera" lol After our walk I did a lap of the kennel block and was surprised to see how Taz was in his kennel. He was very barky and lunging towards the front of the grill. Once I knelt down and spoke to him he was fine. Taz obviously doesn't show his best side in his kennel, so if you think you might be interested in him, please don't judge him on this, he was a cracking little lad on his walk, very friendly and ever so laid back. I didn't hear a peep from him! If you are looking for a handsome Staffie fella, ask to see him outside and see what a good boy he is!

I had the pleasure of taking this beautiful boy out for a stroll this afternoon and he was a little treasure! So gentle on the lead and stopped frequently just so he could have a little cuddle and a fuss! After each little fuss he was happy to trot along, tail wagging as he went! Taz was the perfect gentleman and was really well behaved throughout the walk, I look forward to seeing him again so! A perfect canine companion!

Awwww, how sweet is this! Some of our youngest Pilgrims say it better than I ever could! A young family of Pilgrims came to walk a dog today, and although they are not dog owners, and haven't had a whole lot of experience with different breeds, as Taz was the only dog who hadn't had a second walk they decided to see if staffies really are 'softer than you think'! Later this afternoon, I found this written in our 'comments' book.... "Taz is loving, adorable and obedient. He is a young staffie and is easily made happy. He is so cute!!" From Milo, aged 9 "Taz is very cute with a pure heart. And he is very nice to have. Please adopt him" From May, aged 6 and a half Out of the mouths of babes........ Thank you Roisin, walker number 543 for introducing the joy of staffieness to your children!
