Please give a warm Friends welcome to Blaze
Blaze is a 7 year old staffie boy who was brought into Cardiff Dogs Home as a stray. He has lost an eye, obviously we don't know how, or when, but Blaze isn't in the least bit hampered by this, and is a typical lively and energetic staffie lad, full of fun and up for an adventure!
We took Blaze down to the riverbank for the obligatory toilet break, and to say 'hi' to the locals....
It seems Blaze is a bit of a water baby! He spotted something bobbing in the water, and decided it was his for the taking!
Go Blaze!
He came out of the water proudly carrying his 'prize'! Retrievers eat your heart out!
Blaze stopped for a pensive look (and a wistful photo opportunity) gazing across the river....
... the it was back to the vet's room for a quick rub down! Brrrrr, that river was cold eh Blaze?
Sooooo, we were a little disappointed not to get our staffie snogs today, but Blaze is ALL about the toys!
He wasn't in the least bit guardy around his toys, but it has to be said this boy's forever peeps might want to invest in something a bit more robust than a plastic football or a few squeakies! Tuff toys for this boy please!
Blaze does have a little basic training, he will sit nicely, and he can take treats verrrrry gently when asked..
We have been told it is extremely unlikely that Blaze's owners will be coming forward for him, but he still has to spend a clear 7 days in CDH before he can be rehomed. Blaze will be available for rehoming from 5th April and the staff will take applications on him immediately.
If you would like more information on him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm.
