Please say a huge hello to the gorgeous little Chico
Chico was signed over to CDH by his previous owner. We aren't sure what mix Chico is! Maybe a teeny bit of frenchie in there somewhere? Or Boston? He's about the right size! Susie and I spent some time in the vet room with Chico this afternoon.
As Chico has been signed over, the staff will have information provided by his previous owner. If you would like any more details about Chico, please contact them on the number below.
Chico will be available for rehoming on 10th April, but the staff at the home will take applications now. If you would like more information on him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm

Took this little beaut out for a walk this afternoon, what a gorgeous little dwt of a man! He's super friendly and not bothered by traffic, cyclists, people running past or other dogs, I think he just wants to say hello to everyone! He was very quick to jump on my lap and cover me with kisses when we stopped for some water and a little treat, I'm sure he won't be around for very long! Absolute little darling!

You're faster than me, caggy! We took this gorgeous teeny lad out this morning and as Caggy said, he's just wonderful! We didn't pass too many other dogs but any we did just got a very curious look, very pointy ears, and tail wag. Zero barking. He's so small that even when he did pull initially, he's very easy to control and redirect. We saw a lot of similarities between him and Red, as he would keep looking back to check on us as we walked and always seemed to be listening to what we were saying. If we didn't say anything for a while, he'd look back just to make sure we were still there! At one point my dad walked on a bit ahead and Chico suddenly picked up pace until he was leading us again. I guess it's easier to keep an eye on us silly humans if we're in the same place! We stopped at the benches for a quick breather and some water, and Chico was very quick to give us cuddles and kisses. He kept hopping back and forth between our laps - either so we wouldn't feel left out, or so he could decide who was comfiest! He was gentle with treats and just happy to do whatever, so long as people were involved. This gorgeous little boy would easily fit on any sofa!

Looks like Chico was the 'dogue du jour' today! He has been such a good boy, we thought he might be good company for Teddy Bichon (who is being boarded at CDH whilst his elderly owner is in hospital). Who remembers Benny Hill?

Absolutely love this. It's just amazing when the dogs can interact with each other and when they get along so well!!

I don't think the wife would entertain a second dog right now but I'd LOVE to bring piglet/jemima down and see her play with Chico. They'd love each other..

Took Chico out today and immediately realised he was going to be so well behaved we went back and took Teddy out with him. The two of them walked alongside each other like old pals. Chico is a fantastic little dog, no pulling, no barking or growling, no reaction to other dogs or traffic. He was just really friendly and a delight to take out. We stopped for a drink and some treats but Chico didn't seem interested in the treats, perhaps he had just had his breakfast. On the way back to the home someone stopped their car to say hello to Chico as they had seen him on the website and wanted to meet him - seems like Chico has his own fan club. And when we got back to CDH another family was waiting to see him. Looks like Chico may be finding a new home soon - Teddy had better start looking for a new buddy!
