Prepare to lose your hearts to the very beautiful Nala This babe has arrived as a stray along with her buddy Cookie and whilst Cookie is taking her new surroundings with a pinch of salt, sadly Nala isn't coping too well She seems very anxious and is clearly missing her family and some home comforts. She quickly made friends with Aunty Sooz though and some Baglady kisses seemed to ease her a bit "Pleased to meet you Miss Susie" "Yes, I'm that kind of gal, I do kiss on the first date" Oh get a room you two Nala is a loyal kind, and there were no kisses for me, but I did get some nice cuddles After a while Nala relaxed and we were shown how polite she is around food. She does a lovely sit and has the gentlest of mouths taking her treats Beef McCoys hit the spot for this girl! Beer, crisps and plenty of kisses?? My kind of date We were given an insight into how Nala and Cookie may have ended up at CDH...yes, this girl is obviously an accomplished escape artist and knew exactly how to open doors We look forward to Nala being able to get out for walks once her vaccinations kick in. We know our fabulous vol's will have her settled in no time, and I have a sneaky feeling she may well become a fair few peoples favourite. She really is a fab girl x If Nala’s family don’t come for her, she will be available for rehoming from 6th May, but the staff will take applications now. If you'd like more information, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. For more information on the rehoming process please click here

Nala won more than a few hearts with the staff and Pilgrims - but we were thrilled to see her leaving the building - with her bestie Cookie It was a pleasure meeting you Nala

I completed my induction yesterday (26/6/16) and Nala was the first dog I took for a walk along with another volunteer and his two children. Nala was a pleasure to walk, no pulling on the lead, she was great with the children and enjoyed their fussing. We were out for nearly an hour with her with no issues at all. Can't wait to walk her again.
