Everyone give a warm welcome to Ziggy! Ziggy has already made the rounds on social media, as he's quickly become a firm favourite with our walkers. This boy is all about the smiles! He was an absolute delight when we had him out for his photo shoot in the garden, and it's safe to say he's a bit of a ladies man (and knows it!) He's a happy, chunky little staffy and the perfect antidote to a bad day, just look at him! It's fair to say that Ziggy had a great time in the garden.. He loved finding a black and white cuddly toy to call his own... ...and he also loved coming up to the camera to inspect his photos Although we don't know much about Ziggy, we do know he has impeccable manners around humans and just loves a bit of a fuss. Judging by his happy demeanour, he's not letting kennels get him down too much! Ziggy's release date was the 12/05/2016, so staff are now taking applications on him. If you would like more information on him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click on the link below: friendsofcardiffdogs.proboards.com/thread/5880/guide-adoption-procedures

Ziggy sawdust..... What a pretty thing you are,if you're looking for a dog to spend some golden years with then this black/white star is for you. He is a diamond dog and is just uber cool and loving and makes me smile. I've taken him out twice and he's been fab both times though Thursday was pretty hot so we spent most ot the time in the shade...that's how the Ziggy rolls. He is a proper chunky monkey and you'd be completely alladin in-sane not to want this hero in your life but please make it for more than one day. Ziggy played guitar.... This one doesn't he will just make your life a whole lot better. Let's dance....on second thoughts let's just sit in the shade.

I totally agree... Ziggy is fabulous! He's a right little chunk this one. He has the best manners and is so gentle. He was passed by alot of dogs on our walk, some of which were unleashed but he took everything in his stride and just carried on walking. He's keen on a little lie down at times which was funny to watch as it can happen any time without warning! Here he goes... A little drink and then he was off again. . Both myself and Hayley loved our walk with Ziggy and would definately recommend taking him out or even better taking him home x

Ziggy is just a whole lot of gorgeous! Our second walk of Tuesday and we finally got to take Ziggy out after our initial mix-up (which led to us meeting the lovely Ollie, so all is forgiven!), and he is just wonderful. He's a strong little boy with a lot of muscle but his only direction seems to be onward and was completely unfazed by other dogs or people. The minute we got to the grassy area on the estate he showed off his froggy legs and kept 'collapsing' in every patch of shade we found. He likes his walk but I imagine if you took him on a hike he'd need a lot of breaks! He reminded me a little of Captain in personality - very cuddly and loves his lie downs! After some tummy rubs we managed to persuade him to venture back into the sun and we made it out of the estate, though then we were presented with lots of lovely shady grass and Ziggy made sure to have a good flop down every few steps! He loves grass and even showed us his crawling moves as he attempted to make his moments in the shade even longer. I wish I could have filmed his crawling but my camera wasn't up to the task. Not to say that he's a reluctant walker, because he seemed prepared to just keep going forwards until we had to turn him around so we could head back. He just likes his rest stops! Like Captain you'll need to bring plenty of water for this handsome boy, especially on hot days, but that gorgeous smile and his lovely cuddles are definitely worth it. He walked almost at heel for much of our walk, aside from when he was trying to get into the next patch of shade or grass, and wasn't too fussed with a tennis ball we brought along - though it's possible he's just not that interested in carrying a ball around. Walks are for walking, off-lead is for playing! A really handsome lad who deserves a sofa of his very own!

Well, Ziggy didn't hang around for much longer than was necessary and is right now settling into his new home. Good luck Ziggy!!

When I took Casper to the vet for his check up, I saw a familiar face - Ziggy! I know the people who have him and he is going to be so spoiled. His tail didn't stop wagging and he had a fluffy aligator toy that he carried around. He's going to have a wonderful life and it's well deserved.
