Please welcome the absolute joy that is Missy Missy had a blast in the garden this afternoon, and its fair to say, we enjoyed every minute too! This girl is full of beans, she loves to play but makes sure she checks in regularly for a fuss too! She enjoyed playing with the toys and insisted on choosing her own, cheeky madam Despite having unlimited access to the toy box, it was the good old tennis ball that she chose! Exhausting work eh Missy! Clever girl knew to cool off around the poolside (but still with her tennis ball!) Missy enjoyed taking time out for some cuddles, and took full advantage of Jen's soft side and woo'd her into parting with the pate She had impeccable manners around the treats and showed us her bestest sit every time Missy - you were a pleasure to spend time with doll x Missy will be available for rehoming now. If you have any questions on Missy or would like more information on her please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Ohhhhhh! How do you make your day just that little bit better? Well, Missy made it a whole lot better today! This lovely girl came out all smiles and bounding with energy, but after the initial excitement of realising she was off for walkies, she had slowed to a nice pace by the end of the lane. Missy didn't seem bothered by traffic, or other dogs, and was just really happy to be out exploring We walked down the trail, and towards the river, and this is where Missy hit the deck and started rolling...right on the river bank....and fell right in, head first! But no, Missy was not bothered by this slightly embarrassing mishap on her part, she climbed out, had a shake, walked over to the grass next to the path, and started rolling again! I have not laughed so much! She was making the most fab Staffie snorts and was soooooo happy! If you want a pick me up, take this lovely girl out, or even better, give her a home, you will never be short of laughs with Missy around Lovely girl xx

Myself, my husband and seven year old daughter enjoyed spending some time walking delightful Missy. Missy loves carrying sticks on her walk. She managed to carry the same stick for most of the walk til we reached the river. While at the river Missy loved spending time there. At first she was looking around, then she had a little drink. While still at the river we saw a family canoeing down the river and missy would have loved to met them she watched them pass in the river and when out of sight she was looking for them. We then had a sit at the bench and Missy was all about the kisses. She shared her kisses with us all. We all loved our time with Missy and she sure loved her time out of the kennels. She was no problem passing dogs even vocal ones. She is all about the walking and exploring. I can't sing Missys praises enough, she is an amazing dog and would love her forever ever home.

Lovely morning Saturday, and we fancied s brisk walk with a fun companion. We asked for Missy and hit the Jackpot! what a bundle of fun, energy, and love she is. Slightly taller than a standard staffie she is all pricked ears and doggy delight coming out of the kennels, as to be expected she was in a hurry to get started and pulled a little down the lane, but once settled she soon showed she was the perfect 'walkers' dog, happy engaged and full of herself. It was Saturday so the park was full of the early morning Park run types, dozens of them running, walking and a few staggering down the pathways. No problem for Missy, though she would of loved to join in and show how it should be done. We made our way through and across to the bay, passing dogs were greeted with interest and a wagging tale, but no aggression or noise, perfect! Missy is always up for a stop and a fuss, enjoyed a drink and was very gentle taking a small treat After about 90 minutes we re-entered grangemoor park from the retail park side, now the park was much quieter and she loved it exploring into bushes, through the long grass etc, a great adventure, and her joy at finding a huge puddle had us in fits of laughter as she danced round and found on her backlegs, playfully tapping the water surface with her front paws, she loved it ( apologies to CDH as she was pretty muddy by the end, but with a huge Staffy smile) Finally just to prove how 'bomb proof' Missy really is, her last unexpected test came as we walked down the hill in the centre of the park, an off the lead Lurcher spotted us from some way off and launched itself, like a four legged Exocet missile in our direction, the owner called but to no avail as the dog zoomed close by us at something just short of the speed of sound. Then turning shot passed again in the other direction.... I don't for a minute think it was an aggressive act, rather ' look at me I'm Usain Bolt' show off stuff, but I'm sure we are all aware of dogs who wouldn't react well to this behaviour, Missy though was a star, she danced a little as it zoomed passed and would of loved to run but again no aggression, no barking just amused tolerance She is a lovely dog, with boundless energy, and lots of love to give .....can't fault her!

Oh Missy, Missy what can I say. You're a super dupa bundle of excitment and curiosity. Everything is like a new adventure. We set off down the lane from CDH as if our tails were on fire and had made it to the trading estate in a matter of minutes. It didn't take long for Missy to realise that we were off for a nice walk somewhere and she soon settled in to a quick walk rather than a gallop. Once on Grangemoor Missy was in her element, her inquisitive nature taking us all over the moor in and out of the long grass and stopping for occasional back rub. Missy also is a thirsty little lady and does enjoy a quick pit stop for refreshments and of course a fuss. In return you'll get back loads of affection and that huge staffie smile that melts your heart.

Missy stole my heart today . She was the third dog I took out this morning, I was running on empty after two hours of walking already but I wanted to make sure another dog got a walk (and my aim is to get a little fitter too!) Missy came bounding out of the kennels, full of excitement and energy and I couldn't help but smile and instantly felt more energised. For the first 10 minutes or so she was pulling hard on the lead, just pure excitement to be outside. I stopped and sat down in the industrial estate with her and she loved having a fuss made of her. After a few minutes we started walking again, now she was much more settled and there was significantly less tension on the lead, she was happy just walking with me. There was an occasional tug on the lead when she found an exciting smell but then she would return and was almost walking to heal. We passed a few dogs and she became excited at the prospect but with encouragement she moved on and settled again. We stopped for another round of fussing but my back rub wasn't hitting the spot so she took matters into her own paws and started massaging herself on the gravel! When we got back to the home there was a few people about and the staff were quite busy. Missy spotted a few tennis balls and made for them, taking me with her. It became apparent that she still had energy to burn as we played around with these tennis balls in the yard, with people looking on and laughing at Missy trying to keep all three tennis balls. I asked one of the staff if I could take her in the garden. I had not done it before so they took me in and told me what to do etc and left me to it. I took Missy off the lead and continued to play with the tennis balls. She would keep one in her mouth and then chase the other when I kicked it and continued to do this for a while until she started to get tired and laid down to munch on the tennis ball a bit more. It was with a heavy heart I put the lead back on and handed her over to the staff. I'll definitely be walking her again!

After spying Missy on our last visit to the Home, we couldn't resist trying to take her out for walkies on Thursday morning. She is just gorgeous! Beautiful in appearance and personality, I really can't find fault with this sweet little lady. She came out of the kennels full of beans and whirled me around a few times, but like any dog who's been stuck inside for 18+ hours, it's very understandable that she'll be raring to go! After ten minutes or so of some well-paced walkies though, she calmed right down and walked wonderfully for pretty much the whole time - the only exception when there was a really interesting smell she just had to check out! Missy loves to play and on lead or not, she's going to do her best to try and get you to play with her. At first we found a stick that she would toss up in the air to catch herself, obviously sensing that we weren't going to play tug with her or throw it very far. We tried to tempt her with some other sticks, as her first choice was getting a little short with each nibble, but this was the stick for her! After a while though, away from the traffic, we produced a tennis ball and Missy's reaction was brilliant. She carried it with her and would place it down gently when there was something nearby to sniff, then nudge it so she could chase after it. We didn't manage to take her into the garden after our walk, but it's not difficult to imagine how much she'd adore having some off-lead time. A garden and/or lots of walks are a must for this lady when she finds her new home! It was quite warm that morning so once we reached some benches further into the park we settled down for some water and a rest. Missy headed straight for the shade under the bench (and our legs) and had a little cwtch up in the grass. She took treats very gently and showed a lovely sit. At one point she tried to place the tennis ball by Dad's hand to get him to throw it for her, so she's a very clever girl! As we were sitting in the shade an off-lead beagle appeared but Missy barely batted an eye at him. He was well trained and stayed with his owners, who gave us a nice wide berth, but Missy just didn't seem to notice him. Other dogs we passed were treated with some interest but no aggression and barely any pulling. We had a nice cuddle back at the Home before she went back in, and she took the tennis ball with her because who could say no to that gorgeous face?! She's just a star - loving, energetic, sweet, and intelligent. It's a wonder that she hasn't been snapped up yet!

Missy moo...What a beauty you are! I was lucky enough to spend some time with Missy on Sunday when she accompanied my partner & I to St Fagans for a vintage car show. Missy is such a wonderful young girl, she beautiful, funny & full of beans! She had us in fits of giggles. We took missy out in the car, now she is vocal, I would imagine she's not had much travelling experience but this can be easily worked on, as on the return leg she was much quieter. Whilst vocal she does however behave perfectly in the crate & was sitting or laying for the whole time - good girl missy! Whilst at st Fagans missy was a dream, she walks well on her lead, she can be excitable at times but she is still young & she was reactive to positive praise so I'm confident this can be worked on. Missy loved a roll too - at every opportunity she was drop & roll! Everyone stopped to watch her, she really is a head turner. Missy made many friends when we were out, she was polite around humans & especially around little ones - one family spent about 10minutes with us & missy was so calm, she let the kiddies rub her belly & just lapped up the attention. Missy seemed to really calm when with the kiddies. We past many on lead dogs during our afternoon out & we did not hear a peep out of missy at all, even when a grumpy English sheepdog started shouting at her from afar she just carried on regardless! The only four legged friends that took her interest was the sheep oops So in summary; missy is a cracking young girl, with lots of love to give and I believe she'll make a fabulous family pet. Oh also, she's beautiful Good luck sweetheart x
