Please give a gentle Friends welcome to Murray This lovely crossbreed boy has only recently arrived at Newport City Dogs Home, and although he behaved impeccably when we brought him out for his photoshoot, it's fair to say Murray is still a little anxious about his recent change of circumstances. We tried tempting Murray with everything in our toolkit - the very tenderest morsels, squeakies, and in honour of his namesake - a tennis ball - but Murray wasn't interested in anything much... We have no idea what breed mix Murray is, but he was determined to tell us! Marley has the voice of an angel.... and sang us sad ballads pretty much the whole time we had him out... Poor Marley, he was calling out to someone, maybe his family, and we simply couldn't console him. Murray is clearly missing his family very much, and we're keeping our paws crossed that his owners will come forward to him. If no-one does come to claim him, Murray will be available for rehoming from 16th July. For more information on Murray please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME.
TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm or 2pm - 4pm.Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, and microchip. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered/spayed aged six months. Subsidised vouchers are available at £35, this is in addition to the rehoming fee. All applicants will be homechecked prior to approval.

It seems Murray took himself out for walkies without permission but thankfully his distraught owners tracked him down, and he's now safe at home, still singing, but apparently it's a much happier tune Murray, sweetheart, don't be taking to the streets again eh? There's no place like home ....
