This is Meg... Meg is a beautiful large lurcher, we think she may have been a working dog as she's got quite a few scars on her body Like so many of the pointies we get coming into CDH, she has a real elegance about her and such a gentle nature. She took the pate on offer so politely Meg spent time pottering around the garden, but wasn't really interested in interacting with toys or stretching those lovely legs. Sometimes it takes a while for dogs to settle in before you start to see their real personality emerging so I've no doubt we'll see a happier dog very soon If only they could tell us their story, what happened to them, what kind of life they led before they came to us, we'd understand so much better what they're going through But Auntie Susie has a special gift for making dogs feel happier and more settled, and by and large they repay her with a little kiss Meg really is a lovely girl, and she'd be a great addition to a household. Lurchers love to have short runs a couple of times a day, but then they generally sleep the day away, which makes them ideal house guests and wonderful pets. Meg is available for rehoming now. If you have any questions on Meg or would like more information on her please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. We walked the lovely Meg this morning and she was an absolute joy to walk. However fast or slow we walked she stayed at the same pace as us, she kept her head in line with my knee the whole time, I could hardly tell there was a dog on the end of the lead! The only time we knew she was there was when she kept licking our hands. We passed several other dogs whilst out walking and although she pulled slightly on the lead whilst passing them there was no aggression, we didn't hear her bark once. She enjoyed her treats, although she didn't appear to be chewing them, they seemed to go down whole!!! We had a very long walk down to Grangemoor Park, over to Penarth Marina and back down Penarth Road and she was an absolute star and a joy to walk. Good luck with finding your new home Meg, I don't think you will be waiting very long.

Ohhhh lovely Meg! This girl is such a sweetheart! She looks amazing, regal, she has this demeanor about her that just calms you down right away, who needs yoga when you have Meg! We took a slow walk up towards Tesco and back down, and at one point, I actually forgot she was there and would have kept walking on to Penarth as if I was walking home! Such a gentle girl, please go meet her, go say ' Hi ', she will give you all the love in the world and more Lovely Meg xxxx
