Please welcome the very aptly named Tank This hunk a hunk of burning love definitely had my temperature rising when we had him out for his pics, he is fabulous! He wasted no time in showing us that not only does he have a wonderful physique, he has the brains to go with it! He does a cracking sit and paw and was as gentle as a lamb taking his treats. Good boy Tank!! And he clearly brushes and flosses daily He has a Hollywood smile to make Clooney steam! I get a feeling this boy is going to be an absolute favourite of many of our walkers and we look forward to your stories on him! Good luck Tank x Tank will be available for rehoming from 11th September, but the staff at the home will take applications on him now. If you have any questions on Tank or would like more information on him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Tank is one very handsome little chunky monkey! He's being trained to get used to a harness as it's better for his breathing, so we had the slip lead on him and the harness when we went out. So don't worry, he's not *that* strong that he needs two leads! Really Tank was very well behaved on the lead and was more of a steady weight at the end of it, with little tugging or straining. We didn't take him out for too long as the staff said he could have trouble with the heat (while it wasn't very hot out, it was quite humid, even in the morning). He was wonderful with us but was obviously very glad to get back to his kennel at the end for a nice lie down. Make sure you bring enough water with you so he can have little rest stops every now and then, even for short walks. He's a gentle lad and though we only tried him on one treat, he took it very gently and showed off a lovely sit and paw as well. Tank is very curious about everything and he'd have a little peek over the low brick walls around the estate, just in case something really interesting was right behind. He's a big fan of smells as well, but what dog isn't?! He appreciated a good fuss every now and then but wanted to make the most of his time out and about, so we didn't have time today to stop for a proper cuddle. Tank showed only a little interest in other dogs we passed, and was far more interested in all the people out on the estate. He has the staffie habit of checking back on you as you're walking - that gorgeous smile could brighten any day! I doubt he'll be waiting too long for his new family to find him!

We are really grateful to the fab peeps at Edwards Foundation, a specialist breed rescue who have taken Tank into their tender care. Tank absolutely loved his walkies, but due to his sore paws his time out of kennels was limited, and he really wasn't enjoying the restrictions of kennel life, so the staff decided to ask Edwards Foundation if they could take him. Good luck Tank - you're in good hands sweetheart
