Well, it says Kennel 38 on his card, but we had to go a-hunting for Alfie today! He was in the vet room with weekend staff member Emma, enjoying (well, tolerating with the patience of a saint) an overdue makeover! Alfie has been taken in by Cardiff Dogs Home from a rescue in England. He travelled down the M5 yesterday, and seems to have taken everything in his stride! He was taken in due to his owner's unfortunate change of circumstances, but he comes with impeccable references! Alfie has lived with cats, with another dog, and with children. He certainly hasn't put a paw wrong since he arrived! Long-haired dogs need regular grooming, you can't give them a brush and a comb and expect them to take care of their own coats, so potential rehomers need to factor in the cost of a regular date with a groomer! As he has been signed over, Ollie can be rehomed once his vaccinations have kicked in, so the staff will take applications immediately and he can be rehomed from 21st October. Before... and after! If you would like more information, or would like to meet Alfie, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. What a transformation! We saw him Sunday morning and he was certainly pre groom. He was really well behaved in his kennel and one thing is for sure he is a handsome boy looking for love. Fingers crossed xx

Adorable Alfie didn't need to wait very long at all for his new home, the haircut clearly did the trick as he trotted off this week Alfie!

He is settling in very well. Loving his walks in the forestry and running like the wind in the fields. Cuddles and fusses are a must. We will be working on the 'little person syndrome' with other dogs very soon once he has fully settled in. What a great little fella. Thank you for letting me have him.
