Yes, I know, she is as CUTE as a button! This little raggamuffin is Jet. She is four months old, and has been signed over to the Home by her owner. As she is fully vaccinated, she was able to come into the garden for a playdate, and our resident temperament tester Bas was happy to help! For a pupster, she is certainly bold! Jet could probably do with learning a few manners around other dogs. Like many youngsters, she doesn't quite understand the concept of sharing, and despite having her choice of toys, she only wanted what Bas had! What's yours is mine Bas!Luckily for Jet, Bas knows she's just a baby, and he didn't mind giving up the squeaky. He knows there's plenty more in the toy box. G'wan - take it! I dare ya!Good job she's pretty eh Bas? Puppies can be hard work - and while they are going through the teething stage, nothing is safe! Jet, like all puppies, is going to need a lot of time and patience to help her grow into a well-behaved young lady. But she's certainly already learned how to wrap humans around her little paws! She dishes out the tenderest kisses with her little pink tongue! If you have the time, patience and energy that this supersonic little girl is going to need and would like to meet her, best get down to the Home soonest! She isn't going to hang around! If you would like more information, or would like to meet Jet, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. We took Jet for a walk this afternoon. It took me right back to my childhood as my dog was a jet black toy poodle who looked very much like Jet as a puppy before he started having his regular poodle trims. Jet just wanted to hold the lead in her mouth when we set off and although we tried to distract her with sticks and a ball as a substitute she wasn't having any of it. But I found that by holding the lead straight upright she couldn't reach it to get it in her mouth and she soon got the hang of walking properly and discovered that it was much more fun to sniff everything in sight rather than hold the lead in her mouth. By the time we returned from our walk she was walking really nicely on the lead. She loved romping in all the leaves on the grass verge on Penarth Road, stopping every now and then for a quick belly rub. She enjoyed having a cwtch on my lap and gave lots of lovely kisses in return... I hope this lovely girl finds the right forever home soon. I know from experience that she is going to be chewing everything in sight, will need lots of attention and stimulation and will need regular grooming sessions (not cheap). But she will reward her family with lots of love in return. Good luck Jet!
