Oh my word, this boy is a heart stealer!
Mike is just 16 weeks old. How could he find himself homeless and unwanted at such a young age? It baffles me
He is one seriously lovely little man, and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend some time with him today. You may not have seen him if you were at the home this weekend, as he's quite nervous and worried about his new surroundings he has been hiding at the back of his kennelwhere he feels safest.
At 16 weeks, it is virtually impossible to say what breed/s Mike is, we had a guess at collie but who knows what else!
He is pretty small and petite at the moment, but you need to see the size of his paws and consider whether you're happy to have a much bigger dog in your life
In the vets room Mike had a great time playing with the toys. He was a very good boy and wasn't mouthy or grabby, and was happy to give them up.
He has such a gentle mouth when taking treats too, and he will do a great 'sit' which is great for such a youngster. He should be easy to train
Mikey is absolutely adorable, but make no mistake, adopting a pup this young will involve a lot of work which you will need to be prepared for. Puppies chew, they can't be left for too long alone, they need to be taught lead walking, recall, etc etc.The staff will be looking to rehome him with someone who is around much of the day for him.
Form an orderly queue, Mikey is available from 5th December, but staff will take applications now.
If you would like more information or would like to meet him, phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm
