Please welcome our newby in K33, Lucky Jug
This rather fabulous little lady has been signed over to the Home by her owner who hasn't been able to give her the time (or exercise) she needs! It has to be said, Lucky is a roly poly Puddin'!
Side-on please Lucky - it disguises the double chin sweetie
Lucky is about 7 years old, and has led an extremely sheltered life. She isn't used to spending time with other dogs, but she did pop her head into the vet room to say 'hi' to puppy Rocco....
Lucky is used to having her humans all to herself, and we think she might struggle to share her home, her blankies, toys, and especially her favourite peeps with another dog, so she may be better as an 'only child'
Some of our walkers have had the pleasure of Lucky's company, and some have not! She is slowly getting used to regular walkies, but she decides when she's had enough, and will just root herself on the floor and insist on being taken back to the comfort of her kennel.
We took her into the garden for a bit of freestyling, and Lucky seemed to love kicking up her heels!
She loves toys too! And she can extract the squeaky with precision ....
We soon saw that Lucky does indeed have an inner puppy that is dying to come out!
Her previous owners say she loves a cwtch... testing testing... yup! She does!
As Lucky has been signed over, she is available for rehoming immediately.
If you would like more information or would like to meet her, phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Mon/Thurs till 6pm
