Lucky enough to take this beautiful girlie out today. Initially she didn't go very far but Babs and her new best mate Benny arrived and the pace quickly picked up..... Both Benny and Snowflake were impeccably behaved, and used their manners when asking for treats 😉 So so lovely to see Snowflake looking confident around other dogs. I truly wish only the best for Snowflake, she's such a loving girl and needs a little TLC x

Who can resist this gorgeous face? Not us, obviously. We took Snowflake out Tuesday morning and I think she was pretty content to stay in the office as it took quite a bit of persuading to get her down the lane. Snowflake does walk a lot better with another dog sometimes but we have successfully taken her out on her own before, so we thought we'd try again this time. However Snowflake wasn't having the best day and we didn't manage to get her onto our usual routes. She seemed happy enough to wander around the estate but was reluctant to go any further up to Llandough Hill or Grangemoor Park. The traffic was quite heavy, so it's possible she was just put off by all the noise. Everyone has their off-days though! Back at the Home we took her into the garden for a bit of a run around but, after a quick sprint, she seemed more interested in the Companies House volunteers gathering in the car park and kept wandering back to the gate. Once she was back in the office, she popped back up into her rightful place at the window, saying hello to everyone who wandered by. She's the sweetest little girl and loves everyone, human and dog alike, but just needs some more confidence and a comfortable, safe home to call her own.

We just have no willpower when it comes to Snowflake. As soon as that gorgeous face of hers pops up at the office window, we can't resist taking her out for walkies. Chino came along with us this time and Snowflake was definitely a lot more confident. We have taken her out on her own successfully but she's certainly a lot more comfortable with another dog to keep her company. There's nothing I can say that I haven't already. Snowflake is so gentle and sweet and really deserves a chance at her forever home - I just hope she's not waiting too much longer for her new family to find her. (the bells started ringing at St. Dochdwy's which greatly interested our gorgeous duo)

I took the lovely snowflakes out last week and what a sweetheart she is. I managed to encourage Snowflake down the lane and on to the estate for a short time before she looked at me with her beautiful eyes indicating that she'd had enough. This lovely lady is such a gentle soul that desperately needs a forever family to give her the love she deserves. I hope she finds her special someone soon

I really don't understand why Snowflake is still at the home, she is just a dream of dog. Good in the house and car, friendly with other dogs, quiet except when strangers call, beautiful manners etc, etc. In brief she can do no wrong, unless you want your bed to yourself! She walks beautifully on the lead once we have left CDH. All she really wants is a bit of a sofa after a hard day. Oh ... and some tummy rubs - "Please"

hi everyone I am Esther, the lucky human that gets to live with the dog formerly known as Snowflake. She was brought to me a few weeks ago after I saw her on Facebook. I had her on a trial basis, but in all honesty, i think i was in love with her within about 5 minutes! We went for a long walk that day (the girl can walk, she likes the hills in the Rhondda!) and she had a new name (Shanti) before bedtime! I absolutly adore her, and she seems really happy here. She answers to her name now, she listens and comes to me when I call her, she is soft and cuddly and gentle and I am so glad she is living with me! She LOVES running off the lead, I think she is a valleys girl! I draw the line at her sleeping on my bed though - she is there now, but she will come downstairs when I go to bed (she will come down very reluctantly but she does come down, and sleeps happily on my sofa (it might be her sofa now to be honest!) I'll get some pics on here tomorrow

Hi Snowflake/Shanti! You probably don't remember me but we were at the dogs home together over Christmas. I tried to say hello to you with a sniff a couple of times but you were so nervous and scared that I backed off and I was worried that you were so sad and the walkers had trouble getting you to go down the lane just like they did with me to begin with.
I kept checking on line to see how you were getting on and was sad that you didn't have a new home but now you have and it's amazing! I'm so happy for you and you look so comfy and loved and treated like a little princess. I'm really chuffed for you.
Lots of love, Nico xx
