Poor little Dottie.
Please whisper a soft “hello” to her, as she is very tiny, indeed, and feeling scared in her new surroundings.
Dottie is a stray who was handed in by a member of the public who found children throwing cans at her.
If not claimed by her current owners, she will be free to go to a new home on 12th January.
This little dog looks to be a Jack Russell x Chihuahua as she has the coat of the former and the size and shape of the latter. Unlike some others of this type she seems to be very quiet, retiring and nervous; though that may change a little as she settles in.
Dottie’s age is estimated at between two and four years. She will be seeing the vet soon, as there is a suspicion that she has a small problem with her knees. This is not uncommon in tiny dogs and often does not require any treatment. Apart from this, she appears perfectly healthy.
Dottie’s new home will, preferably, be very quiet and understanding. Any children would need to be older and sensible as she is timid and dogs of this size are easily injured during handling and play. I picture her with an older person, or couple who are content to love her and cuddle her, but not expecting her to go on long walks or thrive in busy places.
This is a little girl who brings out all the caring instincts in you. She will make a lovely, undemanding, companion. If you think that you can offer this tiny girl a home where she will be safe, warm and very much loved, please contact:
NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME.
