Nico has arrived at Newport and is already becoming a favourite with the staff. Only three months old and handed in by his devastated owner since, following a relationship split, poor Nico was being left alone for many hours at a time. Nico is a very interesting cross - can you guess what it is? His fur is whiter than white and caused problems for my camera, so I apologise for the rubbish pictures. Although he has a very serious expression, Nico is a normal, happy, playful puppy. He loves toys, particularly ones which make a noise, and will rush about with them in his mouth. Better to have two available, or you'll never catch him! Nico is already fully vaccinated and microchipped and is fine with other dogs. He takes treats from your hand, very gently and is a delightful boy. As a hand-in, he is free to leave immediately, once a suitable home has been found. .........and, by the way, Nico is Chinese Crested x Staffie. Bet you didn't guess right! Remember "Friends" only promote these dogs and any enquiries need to be made directly to Newport Dogs' Home, where staff can give you more detailed information. Please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME. TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm or 2pm - 4pm (Monday - Saturday) or pop in for a visit! No appointment needed. Please note: The home is closed on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, and microchip. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered/spayed aged six months. Subsidised vouchers are available at £35, this is in addition to the rehoming fee. All applicants will be home-checked prior to approval.
