Please welcome Coco As the vet room was busy this morning, we only managed to get a few quick pics of Coco. He is microchipped, but his registered owner says they 'passed him on' to someone According to Coco's microchip, he is only a year old. It's impossible to say how many times he has changed hands in his young life If no-one comes forward to claim Coco, he will be available for rehoming from 30th March. If you would like more information, or would like to meet Coco, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click here

Coco took me out for a very brisk walk today! I was warned he was "energetic" but my goodness he was 100 miles an hour for the full hour of our time together! He did stop for a very quick drink and a couple of treats but was all about getting on with his high speed walk! Beautiful, strong dog with a sweet face! X

I had the pleasure of spending some time with this gorgeous boy yesterday. As Neecee said he's very energetic and 100mph, but he really is very sweet with it. He wasn't keen on stopping for too long, but as it was a warm day we had to stop several times so he could have a drink. He was a thirsty boy - he finished his water & had some of mine too - so please remember to take a bottle with you if you take him out! It was pretty much all about the walk for Coco, with just the occasional look back or hand nudge to make sure I was still there, and he seemed very happy to be out. In fact after about 1/2hr I went to turn around to start heading back to CDH and he pretty much refused and whimpered telling me he wanted to keep going! Bless him, he really is a sweetie and has the most gorgeous face. He is pretty strong and at the moment pulls a bit on the lead in his excitement to be out, but he's still a pup and I'm sure with patience and training he'd be an awesome addition to his forever family.

Normally we walk at NCDH, but girls & I decided to pop down to CDH today to meet some of the residents there that we hear so much about. As it was after lunch nearly everyone had had their first walk but young Coco was still waiting and so we eagerly accepted the chance to take this stunning fella out for a walk. Having been cooped up all day, Coco was keen to get going and boy is this fella a powerhouse! He is strong on the lead but let's face it... he's got a lot of energy to burn off! 😊 We passed Sidney (fab friendly chap... & what an enormous grin he has!!) in the lane. Coco showed some interest but to be fair he was easily distracted and back on our mission for some walkies we went. This young man was able to sit and wait so patiently when requested before crossing the road. Well done Coco! We headed off up the hill a little way. It was rather warm and so we stopped for a drink and some treats. This is where Coco firmly became friends with my girls! Excellent manners. Coco will sit for a treat and wait, he knows down and paw and all are done with a good amount of patience. A couple of times he tried to "help" my eldest open the goodie bag as she wasn't quick enough but a firm "sit" response from her was enough for him to back off. I was very impressed with his manners around two children that he had never met before. Coco's lead did slacken slightly whilst on our walk - more to do with the warm weather I think as I don't doubt this chap could go for miles & miles! Once back at CDH we went down to the river to investigate. And yes, clearly Coco loves to investigate! Given half a chance he'd have been in the river for a swim! But as it was he had to make do with nosing round in the reeds and under the walkway. We think he spotted a seagull! Very focused on whatever it was Think I'll just have 40 winks... Nope - 10 winks will do. I'm ready again! Coco really is a handsome young chap with good manners and I'm sure a lot to give to the right home. Lovely you meet you fella! Hope you won't be waiting too long for your forever family to arrive.

Coco took me for a walk again yesterday - I love this little guy! Yes - he's 100mph and energetic, but he also has very good manners and does listen to you when crossing roads etc. He's great fun and always makes me laugh out loud on several occasions during our walks - he's a real character. A gorgeous puppy that deserves an active and loving forever home asap.

I can't believe Coco is still here?! I love spending time with him and although sometimes I'm not sure who takes who for a walk - if he's still on the list when I get to CDH I jump at the chance to take him out. Hes getting better on the lead too - although I'm sure he'd go for an all-day walk if he could, after a few miles he tends to relax a little more and the lead slackens off. I think he's just making sure you don't take him back to the home before he's had a good walk! He really does have a lovely personality - if you're considering adopting him please go and meet him, I'm sure you'll fall in love with him like I have. Until then, I'll gladly take him out as often as I can.

Walked this young boy yesterday! Wow, he does love to go at 100mph!! If anyone needs an arm lengthening, call this guy! My arm is about twice the length of when I started. This guys is 97% about the walk but does interact with you a little bit. He loves a good play if you're willing to make farm animal noises! He's an adorable dog that needs a home!! Come down and walk him if you get the chance!

Hello! This was our second walk with the lovely Coco. Coco does pull on the lead but it's nothing a little training won't cure. His innocent eyes and energetic smile will capture your heart for sure! All Coco truly wants is a loving home with parents who can dedicate their time and patience to train him which is exactly what he deserves.

Had my first walk with Coco on Saturday and I was mightily impressed. Yes he's a bit hyper and 100 miles an hour but when he calmed down what a lovely boy he is. He's very quizzical about other dogs but never aggressive,he's a happy chappie loves a sniff and a mooch just like any other young dog. He loves his walks with a full time loving home a bit of training a good long walk he's going to blossom. Please don't overlook our Coco pops he really is a fab boy. Just take a bit of time to get to know him you won't regret it. "My bestest sit"

Best news ever - I knew it was only a matter of time before someone fell in love Coco (apart from me!) and could offer him a forever home. I will miss him very much, but wish him and his new family all the luck in the world.
