We took this handsome guy out yesterday, and he is awesome! Yes he pulls down the lane, but soon settles and he does listen to you when you tell him to slow down or stop. He can be hilariously stubborn and will have a quiet and peaceful sit/lie down protest if he decides he wants to go in a different direction - but will move with a little coaxing! We stopped at the benches for a drink and a cuddle - he's a thirsty boy so make sure you have plenty of water with you, and if you're not pouring it fast enough he'll just have it right out of the bottle! I can't believe he's been waiting so long for his forever home - if you think you've got a Sidney sized space on your sofa then get down to CDH and meet him. You won't be disappointed.

Oh Sidney ! He is without doubt the most lovable dog you'll meet. The photos just can't convey how much personality and charm this boy has. He does pull like a train, but he's excited to be out of kennels! It says a lot for Sidney that despite being in kennels for some time looking for a super home, that he still has retained all his character and charm. I love this boy, he deserves an extra, extra special home.

Just putting Sidders up the list in the forum as he's such a loveable character and definitely needs a forever home just like the rest β€β€β€ I know I shouldn't have faves but he is most definitely mine.

I had the pleasure of the delightful Sidney on a home visit this week. He was a picture of pure joy, so happy to be allowed to run free, jump on sofas and beds and explore lots of new smells. OK, so he needs a bit of training, but considering he spent nearly all his life in kennels this is one splendid chap.
What a big softie, he had his choice of all the toy boxes, he totally ignored all the balls and hard toys (even the treat filled Kong) and dragged out every single soft toy there was; he carried them around, tossed them in the air and cuddled them - not one was torn or chewed.
Like so many of our dogs his favourite thing is cuddles, yes this great lump thinks he is a lap dog!
Super soft Sidders would thrive in a loving home and make the right person a wonderful life-long companion.

Poor Sidney has been in kennels for far too long. He desperately needs a fantastic home who can accommodate the big softie. All he wants to do is cudddle humans, then cuddle humans some more. My heart is breaking that this big softie still hasn't found his extra special forever home.

Just bumping Sidders up the forum as I hate to see him at the bottom. He has so much love to give and is a complete cuddle monster. He is not coping well at the Hotel and desperately needs a home to call his own. He shows you so much attention and devotion he just needs the right person to come along. Good luck Sidders you deserve it ππππππ Sending you lots of love until you find the perfect furever home πππππ

I hadnβt seen Sidders in a while and heβs struggling at the moment. But do you know what he still smiles he still cuddles you and heβs very loving. Yes heβs a big lump but a loving lump. He doesnβt like other dogs but I can assure you he will love you 200% more than he loves anything else. I just hope he gets the quiet loving home he deserves. Some take a little longer to get there home than others but this lad will blossom in the right environment youβll never be short of love and affection with Sid around. Please if you are considering Sid or know someone who is come and see him. He is a beautiful boy just a little misunderstood thatβs all. Hang in there Sidders we are rooting for you son. Xx

We took Sidney out again on the weekend - and I canβt say enough good things about him. I know itβs all been said before, but he truly is an awesome dog. Heβs so lovable and cwtchy- a proper cuddle monster. As soon as you sit down he wants to snuggle up. Even if you kneel down next to him he shuffles over to lean on you for a fuss. He just loves people and attention. Heβs struggling a bit in kennels at the moment and could do with his forever peeps finding him soon! I canβt believe heβs been waiting so long, I for one think heβs awesome - and I know thereβs several other walkers that agree with me. Fingers crossed he wonβt be waiting much longer, I know heβd be the perfect companion for someone - he just needs someone with a Sidney sized space on their sofa. Until then, weβll continue to take him out as often as we can. Love you to bits Sid β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

Wow Sidders! Social media pages have been going wild with the Twitter Sid-Storm over the last two weeks! So many of our vols have been concerned for Sidder's welfare, he really wasn't coping in kennels, and his stress levels were going through the roof. Thanks to the blanket of love that has surrounded Sid on social media recently, we were thrilled when the manager and behaviourist from our local Dogs Trust Centre offered Sid a life-line this week. Kennel 10 is empty! And Sidders has taken the first step on his journey to a forever home! Stopping off at Rehab Central - The Dogs Trust, Bridgend - we are filled with hope that this signals happy new beginnings for our best boy! Good luck Sidders, and a massive 'thank you' to the team at DT and everyone who helped Sid while he was with us

I am so pleased that Sidders has been given a second chance. I haven't been able to get him out of my mind since I saw the recent pics of him looking nothing like he did previously. We would have brought him home with us for some respite from kennels but he is way too strong for us to walk unfortunately.
I hope that now his stress levels improve and that he will find the perfect forever home.
Please can someone keep us updated with his progress.
Good luck Sidders!!
