Please welcome Coco, our rather delicious young Labrador mix girlie This lovely young girl was signed over to the Home with her pup, Missy, as they were living in unsuitable conditions. Coco is hardly more than a baby herself, it's likely she was mated in her first season, and so she has been been doing her best to take of her 6 puppies since November in a small flat. Coco seems absolutely thrilled to be released from her maternal duties, and she had a fab time kicking up her heels in the garden yesterday! Unlike her pup Missy, Coco is verrrrry confident! She doesn't seem to have much time for our smaller residents at the Home, but she has said a quick and polite 'howdy' to Roscoe staffie when he arrived back from his walk. We really don't know how much socialisation or training Coco has had in her young life, so we have it all to find out! Coco adores people though! And whatever sort of past she's had, she has put it all firmly behind her, and is looking forward to a brighter future! As Missy has been signed over, the staff are taking applications on her immediately. However she will be spayed before she leaves us for her forever home. We've promised her she won't have to bring up any more babies, and she can simply enjoy being a young dog from now on! If you want more information about Coco, or her pup Missy, please contact the staff at Newport City Dog's Home on 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm or 2pm -4pm Monday to Saturday or pop in for a visit! Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include first vaccination, flea and worm treatment, and a microchip. All applicants will be homechecked prior to approval.

Hi!
I was wondering if I could have more details on how I could approach rehoming Missy and Coco together?

Hi Ambre Missy already has an approved home offer, but in any event they could not have been rehomed as a pair, as they have very different training and socialisation needs. Coco does have applications, but by all means feel free to contact the Home on Monday to check whether they are taking further applications. The contact number is on their original rehoming thread, and if you haven't already read through the Guidance notes, here's a FB link. It explains what you need to do if you would like to adopt from either Cardiff or Newport centres. HEREHope this helps

Hi,
Just wanted to say that whoever gets lucky to give Coco a home they will not be disappointed. I took her for a walk last week and she loved being out. She is such a good girl and so affectionate. I can imagine there is a long list of suitors for Coco and she will be an amazing dog and anyone who gives her lots of love and a great home.
Good luck Coco :-)
