Please welcome Snoopy, our very latest arrival at Cardiff Dogs Home
Snoopy arrived only a few hours before we brought him out for his photo shoot. He was a little subdued, but very gentle and compliant.
The manner of his arrival must have been traumatic for Snoopy. Apparently he was left in a communal area, and the wardens were called to collect him. We're not exactly sure of the details, but from what we understand it must have been a frightening experience for poor Snoopy. Sometimes the staff ask us to give incomers a chance to settle if they have only just arrived, but Snooopy greeted us with a gentle wag of his tail, and was happy to be led gently out of his kennel into the late afternoon sunshine.
He looked at us quizzically..... Will you be my Friend?
Of course we're Friends Snoopy! Howdy lovely boy!
We bring you presents Snoopy! Pate no less! How does that sound?
Mmmmmmm - Yummy!
Those ears!
After a chance to toilet and take in his new surroundings, we popped into the vet room for a bit of quiet time with Snoopy.
He was a lot more relaxed by now, and happy to introduce himself to Aunty Janet....
Those giant paws are soooooo gentle...
If no-one comes forward to claim Snoopy, he will be available for rehoming from 20th April, and we've promised him he'll be treated like a prince while he's with us! Nothing but the best for our beloved dogs!
It's been a long and difficult day for Snooopy, and he helped himself to a drink from the handy water fountain before trotting quietly back to his kennel.
if you would like more information, or would like to meet Snoopy, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm.
