As you may have already ready ni some of Miranda's other posts, she's been spending a bit of time with Oscar recently. They've been getting on so well together that after another walk yesterday we decided to let them take it to the next level with some off lead time in the garden. We couldn't believe just how relaxed they both were! Must be puppy love! 😍😍 youtu.be/Bd_SHiTovu8

Splish, splash, she was taking a bath! And as you can see she absolutely loved it!! Miranda loves being fussed. And even getting her towel dry proved to be something she enjoyed. (Although I'm not so sure Lesley & Carole enjoyed that part quite as much! ) What an absolute dream this girl can be! 100 dogs have come through the doors at Newport City Dogs Home since Miranda arrived in April this year. That's a lot of legs and waggy tails that Miranda has seen come and go. And yet she waits ever so patiently for her new family to find her. She is a large girl, cooped up in a kennel when all she wants is a sofa to call her own and someone to give her the love and attention she deserves. If you feel that you could be the one to provide that sofa, please do message us here on the forum or call Newport City Dogs Home to arrange to call down to meet this beautiful girl.

We simply cannot fathom why Miranda is still waiting to meet her forever family. She has been in Newport City Dogs Home since April, and despite everything, she has never put a paw wrong, she is always happy to greet us, she has been fabulous company for the volunteers, who love her dearly.
However, the fab staff at Cardiff Dogs Home have offered to give Miranda a fresh start, a different environment, and hopefully as the 'new girl on the block' in Cardiff she just might hit the button with the right family!
Massive thanks to Rob and the staff at CDH for giving her this chance. I'll be popping down to see what she makes of the sensory garden - watch this space for photo's!

Glad Miranda is getting a fresh start in Cardiff, although we'll all missthis beautiful girl in Newport & those gorgeous eyes. The daily walks she'll now get will certainly help get her paws out of the home & hopefully onto a fur ever sofa where she belongs. Hopefully we'll come & visit her soon

Awwww we love Miranda, what a truly lovely girl 😍 She can be a little excitable when first out but who can blame her when she's been stuck in her kennel. She has always been an absolute darling with our girls when out for a walk and loves nothing more than a dig in the sand or similar. Hopefully now she'll get out a lot more and soon find her forever family to share all her love with as she has plenty of it to give. Believe me when I say NOT all the best things come in small packages xxx

Met this beautiful girl briefly on her way back after a stroll. She is lovely. A little shy but curious too. Hope to see she's found her forever home soon.

I had the honour and privilege of walking this Newport superstar Friday and what a beautiful girl she is. Miranda was a little bit wary of me and rightly so but once I had a bit of a smooth and some reassurance we were off. M isn't as big as I thought she might be but she is a beautiful looking girl. She walked beautifully and seemed very unfazed by fellow dogs a little bit wary of the traffic but still very good. It was a lovely peaceful walk she's really is a beaut but I've mentioned this right. Why she isn't snapped up is beyond me but whoever has the honour of this girl will be blessed. Miranda an honour and a privilege to walk you. I hope someone sees the same beauty and kindness that our fellow walkers do. Swoon

Popped down with my girls to see Miranda at the weekend, see how she is coping with the move from Newport to Cardiff. I think that those of us who know her can see that she is still trying to find her feet and adjust to being at CDH but she was very pleased to see us and cuddles aplenty we're given and received. It was lovely to spend time out walking with her and now she has the support of so many more volunteers & staff and is getting out for at least 2 walks everyday she clearly had less excited energy to expend. She checked in regularly not only with me but with also both of the girls making sure that we were all together and all ok. (Although she did give me one beautiful demonstration of her tug of war abilities whilst crossing Penarth Road but TBH I think she was just trying to give the Sunday drivers a giggle 🤣) We spent a lovely hour out walking before heading back and having a good run off lead in the garden. Whilst she's still settling, Miranda is in the stable block so if you want to meet this lovely girl, just have a word with one of the staff. Here's a little clip from our walk on the Taff Trail. youtu.be/ZsZFrbeQLdE

It's fair to say there were tears of joy and a few happy dances from some of the Newport vols when we heard the fabulous news that Miranda had found a home.
Be happy gorgeous girl!
