UPDATE - Ted has found a fabulous forever home, but Chester is still waiting to meet his perfect peeps. Please welcome our two newbies in Kennel 32... Ted And Chester These two little darlings have been signed over to the Home by their owner following a relationship split. They are still a little unsettled and anxious, and as they weren't vaccinated when they arrived they are unable to go out for walks yet, but we took them both down the river for a bit of fresh air. The boys didn't feel much like enjoying the view though, they are clearly bewildered at their recent change of circumstances. Back in the vet room, they didn't seem any more inclined to come too close... And although Ted was tempted by the pate... Chester kept his distance, and watched us carefully from behind the stool.. Ted is 5 years old, still a youngster in chi years! And Chester, his father, is just a year older. Chester and Ted are clearly getting a lot of comfort from each other at the moment, and the staff would prefer they are rehomed together but will consider separate homes if the boys gain a bit more confidence over the next few days. They will be available for rehoming from 14th May, and if you would like more information, or would like to meet them, please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Walked these two yesterday! Slightly timid at first, but liked a few tickles along the way. They kept looking up at us before turning corners almost asking if we were going that way.
They have such a bond. They walked shoulder to shoulder and kept close to eachother the whole way. Ted was a bit more confident than Chester but Chester did settle down and enjoyed some cuddles!
These boys are adorable! So cute! I can't imagine they will be here long!

We took this little pair of crackers out this morning and although my head isn't usually turned by very small dogs this fabulous little family got me falling hook line and sinker! They were so easy on the lead and are so supportive of each other, adorable! I hope they find a loving family soon.

Ted has found his forever family, and we know that secretly Chester is thrilled for his little buddy, although he's going to miss him. We really hope Chester isn't waiting too long for his own good news. He's such a little darling

Spent some time with little Chester Chi today Sat by the river as Chester doesn't want to leave the premises. It's happened twice today. I'm sure he's missing his pal Ted who has been rehomed. I reckon he's waiting for Ted's return & doesn't want to leave incase he comes back Chester seems upset. It's such a shame they weren't rehomed together. Let's hope he finds his forever home soon. It's so sad he's been left behind he's such a lovely natured dog.

Poor Chester! He really is adorable. While I was super happy for Ted I feel gutted that Chester was left behind. Poor little guy, hopefully he will find some forever peeps soon. 😞 Good luck lovely boy, I'd have you myself if I didn't already have a house full of furries xx

Chester sealed the deal this morning, we are officially in love with him. We took this sweet little guy out for an hour, although I reckon a third of the time was actually spent cuddling him! He seemed more confident and settled this morning and was more than happy to be loved. His little racoon face is too cute!! I can't believe he has been waiting this long to find his forever people. He is so easy to be around, very light on the lead, waggy tailed, engaging and doesn't show any reaction to other dogs. He was also verrrry patient with my over amorous 8 year old Ollie! So as far as I'm concerned Chester is just perfect, good luck little chap, you deserve the very best. Xx
