Please welcome Asia This full-of-fun friendly girl arrived recently as a stray, with no baggage, and not a care in the world! Asia has settled into her new routine brilliantly! We obviously don't know anything about Asia's past, but *whispers* she seems to have let herself go a little, and the staff have put her on a diet, much to Asia's disgust! No use poking your tongue out Asia Asia is taking everything in her stride, and actually seems to enjoy tanking around the garden! She will be shedding those extra pounds in no time! If you'd like to meet Asia, or any of the dogs for rehoming in Newport City Dogs Home, please contact the staff on 01633 290902, or pop up during opening hours. Between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, neutering and microchip.

If you like a happy ending you'll love this! The staff had a phone call last week from a lady who had lost her dog almost a month ago. At the time she asked family and friends to contact the local dog shelters, rescues and RSPCA to report her dog missing, but she wasn't aware that stray dogs were taken to Newport City Dogs Home. This lovely lady had a call from a friend who had seen Asia's picture on our social media pages, she rang the Home and was absolutely overjoyed to be told that Asia (whose actual name is Stella) was safe and well. Asia was reunited with her beloved mum and there were happy tears all around! We were rather thrilled to see Stella again this week when she came to the Dogs Trust microchipping event at the Dogs Home this week. All's well that ends well!
