Oooooh, this face This face belongs to Haze, who has recently taken up residence in Kennel 11. Haze is microchipped, and we know he was born in 2015, so he's around two years old but the staff have been unable to contact his owners, and no-one has reported him missing. How could you not notice your dog is missing? We took Haze into the garden for a potter around this afternoon, and he seemed happy to be able to stretch his legs... And he was kind enough to pose rather magnificently for his pictures... If no-one comes forward for Haze he will be available for rehoming from 23rd August, and if you'd like to meet him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. For more information about the rehoming process at Cardiff Dogs Home, please click here

Poor Haze, he was so excited to hear about 'Date Day' and was hoping that his blind date would be a pretty little staffie girl... Sadly all the ladies were spoken for, so Haze and his new pal Fudge spent the afternoon mooching around lamp-posts, just chillin..... Fudge: Hey Haze, so my mate got into trouble for worrying sheep.... Haze: Oh no! What did he do? Fudge: He stood outside their field shouting 'special offer on mint sauce!!!' Haze: That's Funny!

Looks like Haze picked up some dating tips from Fudge Take your date for a nice drink, nothing alcoholic, then go for a gentle walk in the country. Stay close to her, compliment her, and if you think it's going well, try a cheeky kiss....... Haze won Storm's heart today

I spent bonfire night with this handsome boy in his kennel and he was so well behaved. He can be very affectionate and bouncy but Haze is very clever and quick to learn, so if he ever got a little over eager when washing my face all I had to do was gently but firmly nudge him away and he'd get the hint. Poor Haze wasn't very keen on the fireworks and didn't really settle down completely while I was there, but that was mostly due to being very curious by all the other sounds going on in the kennels around him. I imagine if he was in a cosy and secure forever home, he'd be far more likely to doze off during fireworks. He paced a little at times, clearly not sure what he wanted to do, but always came back to me for a quick cwtch and some reassurance. We had some lovely cuddles, a lot of gentle doggy kisses, and at one point Haze nearly drifted off to sleep, his head on my lap and his eyes fluttering closed. If they'd asked, I probably would have happily spent all night in Haze's kennel!
He's a gorgeous and playful young boy with so much love to give his forever family, I really hope he's not waiting too much longer to find them!

👌 love my job 😙
Haze is such a loving boy and has been spending time in the office lately, to give a much needed break. He is so well behaved, loves to have a fuss but also sleep/chill on his bed. He is hoping that the new year will bring him his forever home. He would like an active home where there are no little people. He is progressing day by day so a calm home will help continue his positive behaviour and learning. He would love the company of a canine friend who he can zoom around with and e who won't mind showing him the ropes. handsome Young man with a loving temperament and bright as a button 😚😚👌

These past two days Haze has been on walks with our Elsie and he’s been exceptional. Yes he can get a bit excited and jumps but a quick no and he calms down. He loves people and other dogs and walks beautifully on the lead. Impeccable manners around our Elsie and his time in the garden he was a gent. He listens and does a lovely sit too it’s easy to forget he’s a young boy but an active family will see him flourish. We will be taking him on more walks with Elsie for sure just hope someone sees what a good dog he is and is well worth a furever sofa. So far so good Haze let’s keep it going you are a joy. see he really is a good boy.

Haze is just improving all the time...ok he gets a bit excited and jumps but a stern no does the trick but once he’s told he’s fine. I’ve taken him out running twice this week and he bloody loves it if he’s collie Staffie mix which he might be then running his is forte. Absolutely brilliant in the car,and every dog he meets he’s a perfect gent. But like I’ve said before an active couple would suit him perfectly. A bit of routine and this boy will thrive he is attentive he listens and his recall is fantastic what more do you need. Please go and see him he really is a lovely boy. Haze you keep it up good boy we are all rooting for you

Haze bottom of the pile.... Well someone is seriously missing out he was out with Elsie and myself today and he was impeccable as usual. He’s a bright boy he listens and is super friendly. If you think you need a running partner then I suggest you have a look at Haze. He can be a bit excitable but he is a lovely boy who soon calms down and is keen to learn. He’s been here a while but don’t let that put you off, this is one clever well behaved boy. But don’t take my word for it come and see.
