Look who we met at Newport City Dogs Home yesterday This fabulous little fella has been brought in as a stray, we're not quite sure of the circumstances, but he seems full of life and was happy to say 'hello' to his new friends! He's a fine figure of a pup! But - Tyler did bring a host of little critters with him, which were driving him to distraction We brought out resident meeter and greeter Bas to take Tyler's mind off the little beasties... And after tentatively following Bas around for a few minutes, Tyler soon found his inner puppy! Like all pups though, and especially lurcher pups who like to space out their activities with long snoozes in between zoomies, Tyler was well and truly pooped after a few minutes! As Tyler has only very recently arrived, it's possible his owners may come forward to claim him, but the staff will take applications on him immediately and if he doesn't go back to his owners he will be available for rehoming in around a week's time. If you'd like to know more or would like to meet Tyler please contact the staff on 01633 290902, or pop up during opening hours. Between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £100 - £200 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment, neutering and microchip.

Tyler pup is still waiting to find the perfect forever home! He hasn't grown much since he's been with us, still only a little bit bigger than Bas..... Tyler loves being around other dogs, and as he is still verrrrrry much a puppy it's good for him to have a calm role model around. Tyler really is missing out on some of the most important weeks and months of his young life. He really should be in a home environment, learning how to be a good puppy, to socialise and to learn basic good doggy manners so when he is an adult he will be the best he can possibly be!

[bćr] A truly lovely young pup. Would make a perfect addition to your home. Walks well on a lead. Enjoys a good play and also loves a cuddle. Pop to Newport dogs home to meet him.

I walked Tyler this morning who was a bundle of loveliness. Needs a little training on the lead and looked for some reassurance but that's only to be expected as he is a pup. He enjoyed lying on the grass and watching the other dogs in the field play. He is a very sociable young fella.

I walked Tyler again yesterday who was a little reluctant to walk unless he was following another dog, he needed reassurance. He is a lovely pup that requires training, he knows how to sit and takes a treat very gently, he loves attention & fuss. He has a lovely character and would make a lovely companion, he just needs his 2 legged companion to be able to spend time to train him .

Hello Ffi89, I believe that they are still accepting applications for this lively young fella but best to give the home a call on Monday as I know he has had some visitors over the last few days. The staff will be best places to tell you about the kind of home they are looking for for Tyler. Hi - is Tyler is still available? We're looking for a young dog to fill the dog shaped hole in our lives!
