Please give a hooooooge welcome to Reggie Reggie is just 20 months old, and the biggest, softest goofball you could wish to meet! Reggie has been signed over to the Home due to a change in his owners circumstances. He is just 20 months old and is in fabulous condition! Reggie is a true people hugger, and although he loved running around and chasing toys around the garden, his default position is close, as close as he can possible get, to the people around him. He leans his whole weight into you... And if you give him a nice scritch, you'll have a friend for life! Reggie has clearly had some training, and will do a lovely sit in exchange for a treat... He will slap his monster-sized paw into your hand... And he knows 'down'... As Reggie has been signed over the staff will take applications on him immediately, so if you'd like to meet him you'd better be quick! If you'd like to meet Reggie please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Absolutely lovely walk with Reggie today. He's very bouncy to start but soon calms down and never really pulls, for such a powerful large dog he was very easy on the lead.
He loves a cuddle and will occasionally just stop and lean against you until you stroke him. He also looks round a lot for reassurance.
Such a lovely boy, hope he finds his forever home soon.

Reggie - whatcha doing back lovely boy? Things didn't quite work out for Reggie, and he has been returned to the Home. Reggie would dearly love a large-breed experienced home. He has sooooooo much love to give. Pop down to meet him if you like your boys big and beautiful! Reggie definitely ticks those boxes!

Hello do you know why Reggie was returned? Is hehe ok with children? We are previous mastiff cross ridgeback owners and ready for a new dog after ours passed away a year ago. Just wondering if adoption is for us 😊

The staff at the Home have asked us to pass on some very sad news. Apparently Reggie was involved in an incident in the sensory garden, which resulted in a member of staff being badly hurt. The decision was made to call in a vet and Reggie was pts We are utterly heartbroken at this news, and our thoughts are with staff member Rob especially, who absolutely adored Reggie. Rob held Reggie tenderly and comforted him as he slipped away, he didn't die unloved. Rest easy big fella
