Please say hi to one of our 4 delicious greyhounds, Maisie. Maisie came into cdh with 3 other greys from another rescue. We took her into the garden with her buddy Jerry so they could stretch their lovely long legs. And they certainly did that. They zoomed about the garden chasing after toys! But as is always the way with greyhounds, it didn't take long for the energy to be expended and it was time for calm cuddles. She's very loving and kept coming in for a cuddle. Very very sweet girl 😍 If you think that greyhounds must be needing lots of long walks with high amounts of energy you'd be wrong. They have short bursts of energy but are then generally happy to snooze in front of a fire for the rest of the day. They really are fabulous pets. Maisie is available for rehoming now. If you'd like more information on her phone the dogs home on 02920711243 or visit at westpoint industrial estate, penarth road. Open 7 days a week 10.30-7pm For more information about the rehoming process see here. .. [http://friendsofcardiffdogs.proboards.com/thread/5880/guide-adoption-procedures]

Had a lovely walk with the gorgeous Maisie today. She walks really well on the lead, keeping her nose to the ground a lot of the time to sniff out her surroundings, and nuzzling your leg when she wants some fuss! Here she is looking out from the viewpoint: We met a couple of other dogs on our walk- she seemed interested but not vocal and was easy to move on. On our way back to CDH we ended up in a bit of a dog-jam, but Maisie was happy to wait and just lean on my legs getting fuss whilst the we let the other dogs get a bit further ahead- really an all round friendly and loving dog. I hope you find your forever home soon, but if you are still here when I come next it would be a pleasure to walk you again!!

Maisie enjoyed a trip to Mermaid Quay on Sunday, she traveled well in the car - she was little unsure at first but seemed to enjoy watching things through the window and she was not distressed at any time. We took her with Dougie and they got on really well, she seemed really confident walking around with him. Maisie was a little skittish around big crowds, but this is something that can be worked on as she took reassurance really well. Maisie was a little too interested in smaller fluffy dogs but she did not pull just made some little noises and licked her lips...dinner time Maisie was a joy to be around and will make a great four legged friend Enjoying a Woofcake from Fabulous Welshcakes
