Prepare to lose your hearts peeps
Meet Benji
Benji was signed over to Cardiff Dogs Home by a neighbouring local authority, where he has been for a little while.
He's a verrrry handsome fella, and not that it matters a jot, but we really have no idea of his breed mix! We don't know whether he was born with a bobbed tail, or whether it has been docked, and although he looks a bit 'shepherdy' he behaves quite collie.....
Benji arrived with a very distressing skin condition, and the staff will be consulting with the vets to see what can be done to help him, and it appears this is a very chronic condition which Benji has had for some time.
We really didn't know much else about Benji, his likes, dislikes, etc, it was all for us to find out, and Benji made that verrrrry easy for us once he knew he was amongst friends!
Without prompting, he offered us his paw in friendship...
Despite being a little on the lean side, and probably a little hungry, he takes treats oh so gently
And before long, we found out what really tickles his tummy! This boy is ALL about the squeaky toys!
Once we'd given him his pink squeaky bone Benji couldn't bear to be parted from it. It was as if it was the first thing he'd ever had that he could call his own....
He pranced around the garden like a little show pony! Look everyone! I've got a TOY!!!!!
Ahhh bless, you can keep that one Benji! Plenty more where that came from thanks to the lovely donations that are brought to CDH by our very generous followers and supporters
Benji will be enjoying a tip-top diet to help restore him to health! Yep - It's Burns!
That'll do nicely!
Benji hasn't been neutered yet, and it's unlikely he will be leaving CDH until the staff and vets are happy that he is well on the road to recovery, but the staff will take applications on this lovely boy immediately, so if you'd like to meet him pop down to Cardiff Dogs Home soonest because Benji would LOVE to meet you!
