Please welcome Sandy's Puppies
Buddy
Esme
Fleur
Gracie
Luna
Lyra
Prim
Titch
These little darlings were born on September 12th, so will be ready to leave our tender care very soon and the staff are taking applications on them now.
As Sandy was heavily with pup when she arrived we have no idea who the daddy is, or how big the pups will be when they are fully mature, so if size matters please consider an adult dog rather than a pup.
Sandy is a delicately boned lurcher, but as we discovered when Ffion lurcher had a litter of pups that grew to great dane size - the mamma's size isn't necessarily an indication of how big the pups will grow!
So - how to apply to adopt one of these munchkins - read on!
The staff will require a veterinary reference from all applicants. So please contact your vet and either ask them to provide you with a full print out of your account with all vet visits recorded, OR ask your vet to email a vet reference to EAbell @ cardiff.gov.uk (no spaces)! The reference from your vet should confirm...
1. That the applicant has previously had a dog registered with that veterinary practice, FROM: date and age of dog UNTIL:date and age of dog
2. That the dog was neutered
3. That the dog had annual vaccinations OR that other measures were taken to ensure the dog had protection from disease, eg titre testing
4. That if the dog is no longer with the applicant, it had died of old age or disease, and didn't just disappear off the vet's records
5. That in the opinion of the vet the dog received timely and appropriate veterinary care
Also, please provide garden pictures including all boundaries, fences, gates etc. These should be emailed to the same email address or you may bring print outs with you to the Home. Please don't ask the staff to check the pictures on your phone, they will require copies to be appended to your application.
Once the staff have received a satisfactory vet reference and garden pictures, applicants can complete an application form and those which are suitable can meet the pups.
