If you like your girls big and beautiful Annie could be the one for you
This lovely lady has been signed over to the Home by her owners who weren't able to give her the time and attention she deserves. Apparently she has been living in a garage for the last few years .
Her coat was covered in oil and diesel and she had to be bathed when she arrived, but she didn't complain once about the rather 'vigorous' scrub-a-dub-dub she had to endure to get rid of her eau-de-car-mechanic whiffiness.
As you can see, Annie brushes up well!
And she doesn't seem in the least bit bothered by her change of circumstances! Annie settled into the routine of kennel life immediately, and she is simply loving being able to stretch her legs and all the fuss and attention she's getting!
Annie is about 6 years old, and although she hasn't put a paw wrong from the moment she arrived, she has a bit of catching-up to do as far as her doggy homework is concerned! We haven't introduced Annie to any of the other residents yet but we have promised her a play-date on the weekend as she gets very happy and excited when she sees other dogs! And she is beside herself with joy when she's out on walks - everything is new and wonderful to her! Annie is like a young child in Disney Land at the moment!
Annie is gentle and verrrrry affectionate, and has impeccable food manners
Good girl Annie! Not a hint of teeth on skin, even when we get the tastiest pate out!
The staff will be looking for a large-breed experienced home for Annie.
if you'd like to meet her please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME for more information. TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays.
