Please give a warm Friends welcome to Jim Shepherd Jim was brought into Cardiff Dogs Home as a stray earlier this week. He isn't microchipped, and no-one has reported him missing, although you would think that whoever he belongs to must have noticed that their dog isn't in his bed Jim is a lovely fella, but he is obviously missing his owners very much. He is worried and stressed, but he is trying his best to keep his chin up. He has been seen by the vets, although they don't appear to have aged him. Jim has a little silver around his soft mouth, but he seems in good condition generally (if a tad underweight). He was very gentle when we brought him out for his photo's, but he clearly didn't want to be there, so we didn't put him through his paces today... Is this the way out?Hmmm, they haven't left the key in. I wonder if it's locked?Jim is no-body's fool! If Jim's owners don't come forward to claim him he will be available for rehoming from 12th December, and if you'd like to meet him please phone the Dogs' Home: 029 2071 1243 or visit Cardiff Dogs' Home, Westpoint Industrial Estate, Penarth Road, open 7 days a week, 10.30 - 4pm. Do you have any idea how old he is and what is he like with other dogs as we have got a 9 year old Labrador dog. Hello Julie, Kim came in to Cardiff Dogs Home as an unchipped stray so we don't have any firm information on his age. If you give the home a call they can give you more information or alternatively do pop down to meet him. They are open 10:30 - 4pm daily.

Had a lovely walk with gentleman Jim today. A very brisk one at that! Jim is all about the walk, didn't really want much of a fuss. He did a nice sit and took his treat really gently but wanted to keep on walking! A strong boy but at no time did he feel uncontrollable . He responds well to his name and is friendly with two legged friends and showed no aggression and very little interest in the four legged kind. He's not a massive type of GSD and wouldn't take up too much space on your sofa! πππΎπΆ

Had my first walk with Jim today and I was pleasantly surprised at how calmly he walks, no pulling at all and he responds to his name and to basic commands. Jim is a stunning dog and though a bit hesitant at first he soon relaxed and enjoyed a bit of a fuss. This darling boy needs a forever home where he can feel settled and loved xx

The boys can't believe that Jim has still not got a home. Look at that handsome face, and those expressive eyes. Surely there's a sofa out there that has a Jim shaped space on it.
