Please say 'Bienvenue' to Ophelia, aka Fifi la Frenchie This darling little lady was brought in as a stray. Her owners know she is safe in the care of the Newport City Dogs Home, but at the moment it seems unlikely they will be coming to reclaim her. Fifi doesn't seem in the least bit bothered by her recent change of circumstances, and she had a ball today when we brought her out for her pics! Literally! Fifi isn't a shy retiring sort of gal, she is as feisty, fearless and friendly as a dog should be! Fifi's new bestie, Mr Neil, just kept throwing that ball, and Fifi was in her element! This is what dogs are for! Not churning out puppies to line the pockets of their owners! Dogs are born to have fun!If Fifi's owners don't come to reclaim her she will be available for rehoming and if you'd like to meet her please contact NEWPORT CITY DOGS HOME TEL 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays. Rehoming fees are from £120 depending on the age/breed of the dog, and include 1st vaccination, flea & worm treatment. It is a condition of the rehoming contract that all dogs are neutered, and subsidised vouchers are available for £35.

Hi there, Myself and my partner would potentially be interested in Opheila as well, we recently missed out on a frenchie from Cardiff and were looking for a companion for our pug Alfie. Please let us know if she becomes fully available.

Hi Kev, Best thing to do in the first instance is call the home to check if they are still accepting applications as there were already some in for her. 01633 290902. If Fifi has already been snapped up and you have a soft spot for frenchies - check out Tallulah in Cardiff; friendsofcardiffdogs.proboards.com/thread/7003/k31-tallulah-frenchie
